Just read the "Bad LOR vs the Good LOR" article on LSN and the anxiety that was quelled by my LOR writers just ratcheted through the roof again.

This guy keeps spewing out Marxist propaganda, and he's not making much sense. Staaaahp dude. It's the last fucking lecture, we want to LEAVE

Edit: now he's moved onto guerrilla warfare and giving them a taste of their own medicine

Anthropology students are the worst. PoliScis are the second worst. I haven't had that problem in science classes so much.
poly sci students always have something to say when I was taking those classes. esp at my school where a majority of them want to go to LS so most of them acted like pretentious little shits    no offense to any PS majors lmao.

Lol I'm positive psych majors are the worst. Every new topic is an opportunity to say 1. correlation doesn't equal causation and 2. mutually exclusive

I'm on my phone so hope this works: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/application ... mmendation

I expect mine will be somewhere in the middle. When you think you were the uber-gunner and best student in the class but rethink everything when you question whether your writers can fill 2-3 pages of glowing praise.

Obviously it would be obnoxious and ill-advised to send this link along with my updated resume to a professor who has agreed to write an LOR. Right?

Even if I introduce it with something like "I know LOR structures vary based on the post grad program so blah blah law school blahhhh." Still a bad idea..right? lol

UGH!

I actually sent this one page guide because my letter writers typically write for grad students, and in my email I had to differentiate between what's good in a law school LOR and a grad school LOR. I wouldn't send this though - just stay in contact with your writer and send regular updates. Make them a part of the process.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Eh - a mile or so? It's pretty close.

The law school is right next to the business school. If you visit, stay at the Darden Inn (IMO). It was $80 for me and included parking right next to the law school. Duke campus is beyond gorgeous. UVA is beautiful too in a classical way, but the architecture at Duke is far more breathtaking.

That's Cornell's, right? If anyone's interested and up there this weekend, you'll get a glimpse into the dysfunctional family of functional to highly functioning alcoholics that is the CU alumni network. (dun quote?)

Out of the law libraries I've seen from a pure could I stand sitting here for hours on end,

Duke~UVA >>> Penn > Cornell >> Columbia >> NYU

My ranking is mostly based on having some semblance of sunlight and openness.

Is this a guide you drafted or found online?

That's what I'm worried about. I'm positive he's never written a recommendation for a law school application and I really don't want it to hurt.

Marxist poli sci students are my fave. :)
People who subscribe so aggressively to an ideology freak me out.

Guide provided courtesy of someone who's helping me with apps! Wish I could share it but it's not really mine to share outside of the professors I sent it to. But Google "Recommendation Letters - Chris Blattman" because that definitely helped!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
