Finally checked my score. Got a 170 again. I got a 169, 170,170. FML. LG: -2, LR:-2, Lr: -3, R: -3. -10 overall. Why couldn't a -10 have been at least just a 171 then i'd feel like I actually made some progress.

I'm extremely disappointed. I was PTing around 174 with scores between 171 and 177. Well. There goes literally 600 hours of my life. My senior year of college was not very fun because I was busy with this. And there goes my chances at getting into CCN.

I feel like this is going to be me....that fucking sucks dude

And what's the worst is that I know the test so much better than I did my first time taking it. I definitely know how to approach it better, find the right answers, pace myself better etc. Except my score doesn't reflect it.

Well, there's always Penn man, and they have better employment stats than CCN anyways.

you aren't taking into account self-selection. more students from Yale could get biglaw than students from Penn, but less choose to do so. thus they are lower in the rankings on this Forbes list, but that doesn't mean Penn has better employment stats. the same applies to CCN. for example a lot of NYU students choose public service and this lowers their biglaw numbers.

171. I was sorely disappointed.

I think you should take a step back and gather a little perspective. 171 is not only a great score, it's an anomaly. You scored in the highest 1% of test-takers on a standardized evaluation administered to college students and graduates who are seeking entry into an academically rigorous profession. The score you've received is nothing short of miraculous, and being "sorely disappointed" in what you've received is likely going to be detrimental moving forward if you choose to retake.

What's more, being "sorely disappointed" in a score that many on this board would kill for is staggeringly tone-deaf.

Highest 2%. If 171 was 1%, I would have been beyond the moon. It's not that I have any problem with the score itself. It's that it's not enough to get me to where I want to go. 10+ years ago, a 162 with a good GPA was enough to get people to HLS. Now, I have friends who scored a 169 who barely made it into the Top 14.

173+. On a bad day, though, 169-170. Ultimately, it comes down to not enough timed drilling on games. By the final few weeks of prepping, I knew that's what I would've changed much muuuuuch earlier in my prep, if I could've gone back.
