Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
Dude, I've been hearing the same thing especially with these past two September and December tests. Been reading up articles on Spivey Consulting saying schools will have a seriously tough time maintaining medians this year. There's been a significant drop in top LSAT takers. Even here on TLS where everyone is gunning for a T-14 school, the average LSAT score has been in the mid-high 160's- not a whole lot of 170+ I've been seeing this year.ilikebaseball wrote:Nah dont. Wait next year because the majority are gonna drop in medians and give out all their money as soon as the cycle starts in order to attempt to not drop again the following year. This year, a lot of surprise schools held their median. They wont be able to again, especially with these LSATsRaiderRed wrote:Anyone have any opinions on if I should throw up a late cycle Hail Mary on any schools or is it not worth the money? With my current score of only 164 and GPA of only 3.59, I didn't take much risk in apps cause I fear rejection. Or are any schools super generous and would help me negotiate with T30 schools?

Yes, possible - if they don't fill up all their seats, they do tend to do this. It's a business after all. And also why it's rolling admissions.
ETA: Obvs, don't rely on this as a crutch. Apply as early as you can.

lol thank you!! That's exactly my nightmare - would you end up studying again for the test, or just apply with that score.Dirigo wrote:But in all honesty, 167 sucks because it's in a weird middle ground. It's way too good for tier 1's but too low for t13's if you want good money.
So I get your nightmare. I'm just playing.
I don't even want to think about that slight chance of having to study for this damned test again.

167/3.9x only gets you a half-ride

Are you PT'ing everyday Zac?... Sounds like you're doing a lot of sections a day lol.zacboro wrote:Felt a little burnt out at the end of the 5th section of my PT today, so I stopped there instead of going to the 6th. This week I was trying to do one LR and one RC section during my off days (with a 6 section every other day), but I'm definitely considering just taking tomorrow off. Yesterday instead of just a RC and a LR I threw a LG section in there too and I think that extra section just fried me for today...

Keep in mind that scholarship decisions don't follow the strict & predictable metrics that admissions decisions do. LSN provides a rough idea of what you might expect in terms of scholarship money, but those are just averages from a potentially unrepresentative sample.
Also Cornell is kind of weird with scholarships, right? They have all of these different kinds of alumni/dean's scholarships that come in widely disparate values.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
Wait so you're doing 5-6 sections a day AND BR all in the same day? Damn it... I need to get faster with BR.zacboro wrote:Felt a little burnt out at the end of the 5th section of my PT today, so I stopped there instead of going to the 6th. ETA: Also first time I went -1 instead of -0 in a LG section for the past two weeks, PT 59 Sec 1 Q 10 rule substitution question totally tricked me.
Btw, which PT does the substitution questions start appearing? Does anyone know?

You need to get a 'tar. Go back to the mochi at least. Otherwise, I just scroll down all your posts.GreenTee wrote:Oddly specific goal.Dirigo wrote:I decided that I won't settle for anything less than a Cornell full-ride.

Not that they are subtantive or anything, anyway.
Kang - I believe the rule-substitution era is introduced in PT 57.
