So I just started drilling a few of the Cambridge packets. How do you guys go about drilling these? Do you do them untimed, determine an acceptable timing level based on the difficulty of the question, etc? When I take timed PTs, I struggle with timing in LR and RC, so I'm worried that I'm reinforcing bad habits if I were to drill the packets untimed. Any thoughts?

What I do is get the total number of questions per type and divide them by 4. That I have 4 equal number of drill sets to do per question type. First set is used to practice on before a prep test. Second set is to work on weaknesses and to continue drilling in general. Third and fourth set the same as the second set. Then after I'm done using that and hopefully done with all the reading materials I have. I will use PT 29-38 sections of each test in between non - PT'ing days to drill/practice timing/get used to the questions being mixed together. Even though I drilled 29-38 in the cambridge, there's no way your going to remember the answers entirely by time you get to this point (unless you have sherlock holmes memory!). It's all about PT'ing, Drilling, and Blind Review in my honest opinion.

So, essentially, it comes down to using the easier questions for warm up, and the more difficult ones to target your weaknesses. I've been doing something similar. For LR, I target question types based on my weaknesses during PTs. For RC, I'm just going through them to solidify/standardize a strategy that works for me. But do you time yourself while you are drilling the packets? And if so, how?

No I don't really time myself when drilling. It's important to be able to take your time reason in your head the right/wrong answers. That way when it comes to PT'ing, you know the process. I use my watch. Lol.

working 50 hr/wk is rough, add anything else on to your day and study time is hard to fit in :/ this week has been pretty restricted, gotta make up for it this weekend I guess

I feel you. I'm like exhausted after work every day (usually 9-8/9). I've been super lucky and this week and last were really, really slow (spoiler for after law school: July/aug/sept are the slowest months for litigation). Unfortunately it'll be picking up soon. Ugh.

I woke up at 6 this morning to study. I drilled a lot of LG but now I'm so exhausted, I hope I don't fall asleep at work, haha.

I haven't worked out in ages I take the stairs at work instead of the elevator (like 7 flights) and when I come home (10 flights) and that's about it. I figure it's similar to the Stairmaster or whatever that machine is called, so it's good enough, haha. Plus I work on a farm on the weekends, and that keeps me (relatively) in shape.

Haha I won't forget. And as for which to get thats up to you. If you get the 1-38 it will allow you to retake the higher(40+) PT's again closer to Dec without having drilled their LR questions multiple times... just my 2c

I don't intend to redo the PTs I've already done because I think I have enough of them. Also, typing them up takes so much time (I know because I've done the same with LG) and I don't think I can afford that right now. Also, I don't have everything divided by type and difficulty level

lol. I'm studying full-time until the December test, but once I'm done, I'm thinking about working at a local gym as a personal trainer. Something "fun" to do before law school kills me.
