Re: June 2014 Retakers
I need to get better at predicting the correct answer in LG so I don't waste so much time eliminating incorrect answers. I'm assuming the best way to improve this by just doing a lot of games and reviewing. Any other suggestions?

Re: June 2014 Retakers
PT 54 today. I took this one initially like seven months ago
LR: -4 combined
LG: -0
RC: -2
175
Really happy with RC. I felt I was in good control of the section, which I usually don't feel. I'm like, on the brink of being REALLY good at LR but it's those couple questions per section that get me.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
First PT since the day before the October test.
PT33:
LR1: -1 (#7)
RC: -1 (#26)
LR2: -0
LG: -0
Total: -2 --> 180
Obviously thrilled with that. I had never taken this PT before, but I had seen all four games multiple times while drilling. One of the easiest RC sections I think I've seen, and only a handful of tricky LR Q's. Definitely an easier PT. The LG section is probably on the harder side, but, as I've practiced every game ever into oblivion, I like to think I'd have been just fine even if it were a fresh section.
I did have some timing issues. Almost ran out of time on LR1, and got through a really easy RC in ~34m. I'm sure that will come back with practice, though.
Feelin' good

LR: -2
LG: -2
LR 2:-2
RC:-3
Raw: 91

Not bad. My brain was so checked out during RC.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Checking in here. Longtime stalker, scored a 169 on Dec 2011/3.65/good softs, and was set to go to UCLA this summer with 90k, but with all the PSLF madness I decided to retake and hope for a full ride somewhere next year.
Perhaps foolishly, I'm planning to retake in June and started studying this week. First diagnostic: Ptest 61: 167.
My first go-around in 2011 I didn't study very commitedly (blew off courses, took maybe 3 full section tests and did most sections piecemeal). I'm hoping that serious studying this time will put me in the 175+ range.

Raw 89

Not happy with this. I saw this test in October and got a 170. Probably was distracted by that thought throughout the test. Migraine coming on for last section.
I think next week I'm introducing 5 sections.

I wonder if some schools are going to extend their deadlines and accept the June LSAT like they did last year

I was wondering the same thing…i guess we will have to do some research.withoutapaddle wrote:What schools extended their deadlines?
Are you concerned more with top schools, or other schools as well?

Re: June 2014 Retakers
I really want to go to GU or Virginia (I doubt Virginia is going to extend though)
If I get below a 172 I'd consider Texas - Vanderbilt - Wake Forest - Fordham - Villanova (I've always liked this school). my reasoning is that outside the T-14 chances at big law are basically based on class rank and obviously school brand still matters.
I have a connection in Pittsburgh to help get me internships so outside the T-14 it would come down to cheaper tuition.
Funny thing is when I graduated college I wanted to succeed on my own and now I realize that to get anywhere you need to know someone.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
I've been lurking for a couple months now and figured it was time to join in.
I'm retaking after scoring a disappointing 5 points below my PT average in December, and I'm already seeing huge improvements in my level of familiarity with the test based on the study guides posted here. My original study plan was reading the Nova: Master the LSAT book and taking a bunch of practice tests. Now I've upgraded to the Manhattan Guides and drilling problems by question type instead of just sprinting through PTs.
This week I'm drilling LR questions and retaking PT 56 this weekend.
Good luck to my fellow retakers!
