Took my first PT, 19, since my cold diagnostic (June 2007, 162). Took this strictly timed under realistic conditions, although it was in pretty much complete silence.

LG: -10
LR1: -1 :D :D :D
RC: -2 :D :D :D
LR2: -6 ( might have been fatigued, or perhaps I was too eager to be done)
Experimentals: A hodgepodge of mixed review drills from PS LG totaling 24 questions and four games. Bombed it.

165

Wonder what I need to work on? Anyway, I'm very pleased to hit 165 with such a ghastly Games score. This has me feeling optimistic about getting to 175+ if I put in the work, although that's tempered by the age of the PT. I clearly need to stop messing around and buy 7sage. I was quite accurate, but it came at the cost of a glacial pace. Hard not to be happy about this one so early in the process though. Will BR tomorrow.

I'd get super comfortable with LG by drilling before my next PT. For me, learning how the questions will be asked and how to use the rules more efficiently has helped with time and stress. Great job on RC though!

PT53 today. Hopefully it goes alright.

I have a bunch of PTs I want to get through, and I won't make the same mistake from my last 2 takes and blow off taking certain PTs on days I should be  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, everyone. Anyone else taking the test in Seoul?

Also, quick question: how can I translate my success on practice sets in my study guides to actual PTs? It seems like I always go -0/-2 on practice sections in my Manhattan book, but on my most recent PT I went something like -12 on both LR and LG!

Am I doing timed tests too early or do I need to do more to help with speed?

Also it seems like there are 1000 types of logic games so I never know how to tackle the ones I see on PTs.

Ahh :o

I've taken a look at that cycle a few times too. The H acceptance is particularly reassuring. It seems like they're floor is 3.6, not 3.7 if you can boost their LSAT 75th

GPA floors are kinda a myth and H is getting desperate, Christ Yale accepted a 3.5/167 this cycle. Rule of thumb in my book is try and don't half ass your app because of the mythical floor, you never know.
You make a good point. H is legitimately at risk of having its 25th fall below 170 if it's not careful

5/5 on a drill! A tiny victory, but now I can sleep.

Good luck, everyone!

get desperate H. Get desperate and cut me a check for 20g a year and I'll bite so quick.
The Facebook flex post would be worth at least 20g

Scratch this, made a scoring error. Went -0 on LR1, bumps me to a 166. Very pleased.

H appears to have accepted nearly everyone with 175+ and 3.55+ this cycle.

I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to get the LSAT median back to 173, but I'll be shocked if their GPA 25th doesn't plummet.
Hoping this doesn't mean they swing the other way next year

Not at the expense of sliding to 172 again.
Do you think they care more about the 173 than their GPA 25th/median? Speaking speculatively, of course

Yes, I do (and certainly more than GPA 25th). Their GPA median varies from year to year as it is; their LSAT rarely does.
I wonder how GPA/LSAT reporting will work with their new early acceptance program.
I also don't full understand their fixation on the 173 median. Didn't Stanford jump them despite having a lower LSAT median? (171 iirc) Although as someone with above a 3.5 and full intentions of scoring in the 175 range, I can't complain
