You're right, though - it does kill time, and I don't think I'd be finishing in time if I verified every answer with the text. I'm finding circling strategically helps with referencing a lot. And really staying vigilant when you read a passage to maximize your comprehension / make sure you're actually reading and registering every word (this is a challenge for me because my mind tends to wander quite a bit.) Also, limiting the time you spend on one question. If you can't verify with the text quickly enough, make an educated guess and put a mark beside the question to come back to it at the end if you have time.
Thanks, much appreciated on the input. In this last stretch, I'm going to focus most of my efforts on RC. Like doing five older RC passages in a row after each PT I take. This section isn't going to hold me back! :O

I contemplated not writing PT 70 today since I wasn't at full capacity, but then I decided against it to keep myself in the groove...167!!!! Highest score so far! My breakdown ended up being

LR: -4
RC: -6
LG: -2
LR: -4

Great feeling after that 159 I had mid-way through last week. Still haven't finished BRing that one yet btw so I'll be doing a ton of BR this week, maybe with another PT thrown in somewhere mid-week.

Also experimented with only one coffee before the test and a 5-hour energy at the break. The 5 hour energy had me feeling a little bit jittery, but otherwise was pretty good in terms of keep me on the ball and energized for the second half of the test. Will definitely be throwing one back after s3 on the rest of my PTs to get me in the zone.
MAKING GAINS! Congrats man.

The Strain premier tonight. Aw yis. Don't judge.

Can someone PLEASE explain PT 70 4.12 to me?

I picked D, which, looking at it now, I realize makes a claim quite a bit stronger than the stimulus (D being about ALL resources, not just water). But how on earth (no pun intended) does B weaken the argument?

My summaries are pretty short. I'll look at my RC binder and type up a summary I wrote. (I have a RC binder that I separated by type, and I put all my corrected RC passages in there to keep track of my progress and see changes for when I repeat them).

Some are really short and others are more detailed, I also use > and < as signs for comparative relationships i.e. countries are recognizing merit in HI>GDP

Social Science Passage

1) New look at Rembrandt's ptgs
2) Critique of intent economic reasons
3) Authors rebuttal to critique
MP: Although R may have had economic interests his work for aesthetic reasons needs to be acknowledged.

MP stands for main point

HTH!
Thanks! :) I managed to successfully get through 2 passages + qs < 7 min while writing very brief summaries. I think I'm going to try this method in my drilling next week and see if I can get in the habit. I think it might help with forcing me to stay vigilant/keep my mind from drifting while reading.
No problem! Good luck, I hope it works for you. When I first started doing this approach I was not 100% there, but after practicing I got better. I think writing it out takes ~30 seconds, so around 2 minutes, what is there to lose. It's basically giving you a freebie on MP/structure questions and gives you a basic idea for structure so you know what part to reference when confirming answer choices. :)

So today I read all my explanations for the principle questions I put in my LR notebook. Three things I noticed:

1) Some principle questions are actually strengthen/weaken/pseudo sufficient questions
2) Two questions had the same argument in the stimulus, wow-just wow!
3) Two questions had the same answer choice in the 5 options, for one of the questions it was correct for the other it was incorrect

.......interesting.....

Also, started Parallel reasoning questions. They don't seem too bad. I think it will take me a lot of time in the drilling stage bc I'm going to try JY's suggestion which is to write out every answer choice to familiarize yourself with the argument structure. Still going through the arguments, but so far on the first two ones I got them correct.

Last night I drank 1.5 glasses of water and I was up the entire night going to the bathroom literally every five minutes.

I went to the gym today after not going for a month, and my tummy hurts soo much, I know a glass of water would totally help but I don't want to repeat last night :/

no reason to not celebrate. if you can do RC that quick, you can def do 175+

PT 77

173

LG: -2
LR1: -0
LR2: -1
RC: -5

when doing RC and LG i felt wouldn't break 170 on this, so it's good to see the score. i still have no clue how to do game-3, just tried to brute force through it and couldn't make sense of it in the 10+ minutes i had for it. Couldn't get to one question in RC and the 3rd passage felt almost incomprehensible. Will be BRing it this week.

making a claim stronger than needed isn't what makes D wrong. it's "eventually" in D when the conclusion is about "near" future.

For B, if the freshwater available varies significantly depending on region, then it's reasonable to say that in some regions there wouldn't be enough freshwater if the population growth continues. That weakens the conclusion.

I was putting my phone on the other side of the room, but I'd just walk over turn it off then go right back to bed LOL. needed something that would wake me up mentally.

I think my new RC method is going to be : for during timed sections - notation that's very brief and emphasizes structure as opposed to content. (ie : "diff 1 2 3" for 3 differences between russian serfdom and slavery in the US, as opposed to "the 3 differences between slavery and serfdom are ....") I think that should help force me to pay attention to what I'm reading/structure without wasting undue time with notation.
- And doing memory method drills with as complete but brief summaries of content as possible, without being too concerned about timing, because the issue here is not to train myself to write faster.

Science journals addressed to same person as the Economist have started showing up. I'm just gonna assume the guy has the online version of this one too. Aw yis science RC practice. 8)

I was thinking about getting one of those timed lightbulb things that turns on at a specific hour, so I could wake up to the illusion of it being light out. Although tbh we're so close to test-day now idk if it would be worth it at this point.

Mmm, ok thanks! I forgot that when i first registered for it, I temporarily used the same photo that I did for June. Although I don't think it would be a problem, they probably have it on file and I wouldn't want there to be any screw ups. :D

After back to back under performance on PTs i decided to take a few days off and hit the beach this weekend. My mind feels a lot more clear and I'm hoping i can really spend this last month grinding out some consistency. It's weird how in undergrad i could be working, taking 18 credits, and prepping and not even consider a burnout, but now over a year out just working 40 hours a week and prepping kinda gets to me.

I'm in my senior year, and I feel like the LSAT has been more challenging than any of the BS classes I've taken. Challenging, as in actually taking a toll on me mentally, which no class has done before. Then again, I never really did shit throughout undergrad up until like 3 days before something was due.. so.. I guess since I continuously do LSAT stuff, it's just different.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
