You're a few days ahead of me.
I have been trying to stagger the order of my preptests to include those in the fifties and sixties interchangeably.

Just did some MSS drilling.

Did pretty good with the Level 1's. 37/41!
Afterwards, I went straight into Level 2's. I butchered the last 8 problems (4/8). 26/35
These were noticeably harder, but my fault for speeding through the last 8 in 5ish minutes...

MBT/MSS along with Assumptions are my trouble LR Q types so hoping to work on accuracy!

Checking in again! Due to more ridiculous dental work, I'd fallen even more behind (Vicodin makes it SO hard to study, guys). But got the ACE the Logic Games book and am starting to work through that. Halfway done with the multiple linear games section, which I'll finish today. My need to focus on the games is really frustrating at this point, but by the end of this week I'll be returning to 5 PTs per week in addition to ACE.

Also, at least in my case, the ACE book has already proven to be tremendously helpful. I can't really explain why but I make time 3/4 now instead of 1/4 now, and I'm getting an average of two more questions right on each. So I definitely recommend it if anyone needs more help with that.

Preptest 64 was pretty tough and is clearly observed in its curve. I cleaned up the test considerably during Blind Review, which puzzles me because I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong while timing everything. RC is still a dumpster fire and my LR is getting loose again. I suppose I need to spend more time drilling LR again.

Preptest 64
LR (-5)
-2 for BR
LG (-6) - guessed the last 4 due to time; got one right!
-0 for BR
LR (-10) - guessed the last 2 due to time
-2 for BR
RC (-8)

Total=160 without Blind Review; 170 with Blind Review

I'm not taking Preptest 65 today, I definitely need to reassess my prep. I should probably drill a bunch of LG, keep drilling LR, and do at least one RC passage a day, alternating between timed and untimed, trying out different notation methods. I'll probably re-read a few parts of the Trainer as well. Kinda bummed

LR 1: -8
RC: -3 (Personal Best)
LR 2: -0 (Personal Best)
LG : -1
Score: 171

I normally average about -4 to -8 on LR (per section) and -4 to -6 on RC and was shocked to see my score on the middle 2 sections. My previous best timed score was a 162. I've been really frustrated lately with a lack of improvement in LR and have been anticipating a retake in February/June. I was pissed about missing 8 on the first section, so I zoomed through the rest of the test with a "fuck this shit, I'm going to have to retake anyways" attitude, finishing with 5 minutes left in the last 3 sections, with time to go back and check through my answers. I'll be taking PT 66 tomorrow to see if this was a fluke since I was really anticipating a score closer to my average. Still in shock because I have no idea what I did differently besides being relaxed and trusting my instincts.
Awesome! Hope this translates into tomorrow's PT! Perhaps the BP class is making you better.

P.S. I would love to suddenly increase my timed score overnight. heh

Congrats!!! This is so exciting. Shows how when you relax and have a "whatever" attitude you can sometimes actually do better, probably because you take the pressure off of yourself. Fingers crossed tomorrow will go just as well! :D

I got a 177, but it was my second time taking it. The intern game can definitely throw someone off if they aren't on their game.

Anybody else feel weird when they're answering MSS questions? The correct answer always seems so... imperfect. I think even strengthen/weaken are easier than MSS in that respect, since at least you have a concrete flaw to grasp onto. I just feel like I have no direction when I'm answering MSS questions. Am I doing it wrong? Is December going to have an entire LR section of MSS? Should I get a haircut?

So much uncertainty.

PW, GT.

ETA - serious response to your MSS points - I generally just try to focus on what is stated in the stim. I find that most of the time, they are typically conditionals, so diagraming and shit; find the contrapositives, etc. Anything in the answer choices outside of the stim should be tossed out.
