do you ever have issues studying with the extra caffeine? I drink a ton of coffee but I find if I have too much right before the test (especially on an empty stomach) I have a harder time concentrating. I always have to work out having enough coffee that I'm awake and alert but not having too much as to make me not want to sit down for several hours at a time.
I'm the same way. I need to drink a lot of coffee, but get jitters/ heart palpitations / panic / etc if I have too much. I'm finding getting ~8 hrs of sleep + switching to black tea after a mug or two of coffee seems to help diminish some of that.

The MCAT tests understanding of concepts in Organic Chem, General Chem, Physics, and Biology. It also has a written portion. I actually took it, maybe it's because I didn't prepare properly, but as far as difficulty, it completely shits on the LSAT. I've seen people refer to the LSAT as the "Everest" of standardized tests. If that's true, the MCAT is Olympus Mons.

I'd be cool with just having an extra five minutes.

Guys, I'm flipping out right now.

PT 70

LR: -0
RC: -0
LG: -2
LR: -1

Raw: 98
Scaled: 179

This is like... I'm just... I had no idea this was within the realm of possibility for me. Honestly, I felt pretty good about the test, but "felt pretty good" usually translates to low 170s for me. Still in shock.

I'm still getting 1 question wrong on some passages here and there but other than that, I've had a lot of -0's and I'm timing myself and keep getting between 7-10 mins depending on the passage.

I'm going to focus on RC a lot up until test day whenever I don't PT so that way I can keep this whole "clickiness" thing going!!!
Are you doing anything different that seemed to help it click? My issue is always timing. The 3 passages I get to I go either -0 or -1 on....but I end up having to rush through the last passage/questions so I am just making a somewhat educated guess on all of them.

Nope. I just did individual passages. I spoke to soon though, I just got shit on by a Native American passage that I found so boring and I knew I was going to bomb it. Oh well lmfao I've done well on so many passages so it doesn't bother me.

I'm the same as of right now though tbh. If I do a full section, I'll only have about 5 mins left for the final passage and I'll end up guessing. I guess the only way to fix this is to just practice like LG. Idunno

Lol, tbh I do better towards the end of the LSAT, so if this works I'm gonna do a 3 section warmup the day of the test.

How early are you planning on starting? I was thinking about maybe doing a longer warm-up but time before the test is limited, and I wouldn't want to be rushed.

I never really so warm ups tbh. But I'm thinking of doing 2 RC passages, 2 LG games and a set of 10 difficult LR questions before the test on test day. Idk, I feel like for me this would be sufficient.

Finished marking 74 -
LR1: 0
LG: -3, all on the last game.
RC: -3 (one misreading the stem, and one going back at the end to change my answer from the correct answer to one that was obviously wrong, which I had fucking crossed off because it was obviously wrong, at the last minute. Way to go, Alex.)
LR2: -1
94 -> 174

LG and RC totally unacceptable. but I guess I'm relieved to be back at my ol' -7, not fucking -12 again.

That's what I generally do, and it's been working okay-ish so far, I think, provided I make sure the material is sufficiently unfamiliar / challenging.

I've definitely got a caffeine issue as well.

I switched to caffeine pills in preparation for the test so I don't accidentally consume too much/too little caffeine.

I also don't want to have urgently go to the restroom during the test, so I'm trying to limit the liquid needed for the caffeine.

Spent the last two days going over the Level 3 and Level 4 difficulty Flaw questions in the Cambridge packets.

Have 14 Level 4 questions left for tomorrow.

Definitely feeling more confident in my skills!

Making some good progress in Logical Reasoning- my last 2 full length games I went -1 overall across the two LR sections. Gonna need solid LR results to make up for LG- I'm good for 3 games out of 4, but that last game I never have enough time and miss a few questions...anyone have tips on how to improve speed? I've been trying to do more inferences in my head instead of drawing them out which helps a bit...but it's cost me some accuracy.

I've noticed a trend in my RC with Native American and African American passages, in which I usually bomb them because they're heavily history-based. Idk why but even if I try to focus on structure, my mind just gets foggy and I'm like "UGH SO BORING". I hate passages like this, but I need to practice with them.

Anyone think any RC books are well designed to actually get someone from like -4 to -6 to -1 to -3?

I just don't really feel like Blueprint did this for me.

I do particularly well on passages I'm actually interested in.
You just gotta somehow pretend you enjoy it, like faking an orgasm.

The Manhattan RC book is coming in tomorrow; several people on here recommend it.
