^^^^^
How do you do these. Plz help.

(Also is it just me or are those questions way more common in the newer PTs?)

in answer to the question though - I usually skim them and start with the ones that look the most plausible. There are usually a few A/Cs that look more likely than others.
Yeah they're more common in the way they're asking. Older tests seem to have the occasional "suppose the rule of A--> B is now B-->A" type of thing, whereas now they just tell you to pick something that would have the same effect. Both suck, LSAC you fuckers.
These are brute force questions for me. I find them to be easier on the games that lend themselves to splitting the board. If I can get a couple of good inferences that restrict the placement I can usually plug and play. And when I brute force, I check try to plug in a scenario that meet the original rules but violates the new rule. If you're able to do that, you can eliminate that answer choice. Did games from PT 62 this morning. Either game 1 or 4 (appointments or witnesses...) had one of these questions, and that's how I got to the right answer.

oh man the last two sections of PT 72 were brutal, I could NOT figure out that game where the employees transfer things to each other, but still only missed 1 by eliminating then kinda making educated guesses about which one is right  went -2 total on LG though cause I missed a really easy question due to a dumb mistake. second LR had some tough questions in the beginning which threw me off a bit. overall I think I still manages a 170+, gonna BR and score tomorrow.

Mauve dinosaurs really isn't that bad IMO. I think the key is...

the G/Y dude are interchangeable, because the only purpose of G/Y is that it's NOT mauve...so the fact it is one or the other doesn't matter.
5 min break on Sep 09 currently... the RC had a bubbling pattern that was kind of unnerving.

Just got blindsided with the e-mail that accommodated test takers are taking the 5 section exam like everyone else.

fantastic.

I saw that. I wonder how those with accommodations will adjust to this change if they've been PTing the whole time with only 4.

I just did pt56 and felt like I did way worse on the RC than I actually did (-6) but that's a small consolation given the large amount of points lost. Also interesting, I was way slow on the first half of RC, so I sped up through the second half and missed the same amount of points in both halves (although one point lost in the latter half was the one question I didn't get to in time).

Was again too slow on the AR and didn't get to the last three questions. If I could get my RC down to -3 consistently, I'd feel a lot better. I feel like RC has gotten more difficult for me, but I checked the average on all my scores thus far and the 21 I just got is actually a point above average >_< Still, I've gotten -1 and -2 before so it's frustrating not to be back to that. I really don't know what to do to help improve this section. I think I have to dig deep in how I analyze my approach on this section.

I've been doing 5 section PTs anyways cause I thought I could beat my ADHD and just take the exam like the rest of you guys in here. But, once I accepted my limitations that I'm not as fast or capable as most of you in here I broke down and applied so I could do my best. Honestly, I'm ashamed of myself that I can't do my best under normal time constraints. But, I have to put my ego/pride aside and just accept I am what I am and that I need a testing accommodation.

Once I applied for them I didn't PT and just drilled. I'm starting up again with PT 62 on Monday, we'll see if I can sit still for 6 hours w/ 1 15 minute break...i really do hope there's a second break in there somewhere and maybe i can bring a second bag w/ food...

I love boosting my confidence with drilling old PTs lol. Between last night and my lunch break today, I completed all sections of PT 36 and managed a 178. a) I love that -5 equates to 178 b) For some reason I always do better on older tests and c) I always do better on LG when I drill than when I'm taking a full PT

Sometimes I wish I could be like 'hey law schools, just look at my 7sage account!!!' and not have to take the administered test...

Totally misread a rule on an easy game that would have made an easier game even easier. I got back to it, but it didn't give me enough time to really nail the last game... mainly one question. I just did the BR of it, so I assume I was -2 on that.

Totally screwed up BR (won't get complacent, as this is a bit of a jump)... but...

Sep 09:

Actual; LR1 (-3); RC EXP (-1) [def had seen some passages before]; RC ACT (-4); LG (-2); LR2 (-1); 91/101; 171

I didn't really bother to BR RC - I'll do that later... (I need to) but I don't know the distribution of what I got wrong... just needed to score it all.

I had BRd the LR and LG sections prior to it which would be 93/101 which would be a 173 without BRing RC... I correctly identified the LR questions that I missed, but I think I did the BR too soon after the actual test so I was in the same mindset. Granted, the one I missed on the second section I think I fell into the trap of avoiding a sufficient answer for a necessary question when the sufficient is both sufficient and necessary?

Loss for BR, but big jump for test... granted, won't let it get to my head, but it's something I kind of needed.

PT56 S2 Q24... damn near had an aneurysm figuring out that one. I knew I didn't get it when I first got to it while taking the test. I went back and it probably took 7-8 minutes staring at it before I figured it out. And now that I figured it out it's like, "why was this so hard for you?"

Took PT 66 today:

RC: -7 (ummm no)
LR: -1
LG: -3
LR: -1

Score: 169

Honestly, this was not my favorite total result, but I've been focusing pretty much exclusively on LR for the last week, and this is a huge improvement in LR for me. So I'm actually pretty happy. Going to BR and hopefully get to -0 on RC and LG.

Anybody have any breakthrough thoughts on staying consistent on RC (other than drilling consistently, which I will definitely do)? I am all over the place.

Think I might just take the evening off and chill. at this point I think my time would be better spent getting some r&r and getting my health back in order than forcing myself to drill when i don't feel well.

I mean, I shouldn't care what other people think of me having accommodations (which is the root of me feeling ashamed of myself) for an exam when others don't..but it bothers me to some extent that people might think i'm just making it all up so I can have more time and study less (I actually study more now that I know I have confirmed my accommodations) I hate working twice as hard to understand stuff that normal people can get in 1-2 passes it might take me 4-5. But it is what it is.

66 RC was dumb, don't feel bad. I think I went -9 or something. The last passage was poop.

Just drill consistently, read for structure..underline/circle subjects/referential phrasing..that's what I do and I've seen a p big jump (when I started studying in March I was going like -13+ on RC..I'm down to -6-9 now, and -1-3 during BR, my brain just does dumb things because it's messed up from prior/present neurological disorders.)

- Refer directly to the text. I used to seriously overestimate the amount of 'interpretation' they require of you. Four of the answers are absolutely incorrect and one is absolutely correct for a reason that can be specifically identified in the text itself.
- Pay very close attention to the specific wording of the answer choices. A lot of the trickier questions have very subtle wording variations to trip you up.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
