I just knew there was not enough time for me to get as much studying in as I will need to before feb, I plan to apply now and use Feb score as scholarship negotiation tool...I am not completely ruling out applying to the following cycle, but I'm planning on this cycle.secadc11 wrote:

Yep, this is my third and final shot. It's do or die.secadc11 wrote:Question for you all -
Is this anyone else's third time in two years? I'm starting to stress about the prospect of not getting the score I want in December, and wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

Did that during the last game of the June test, which threw off everything.Dirigo wrote:Apparently my brain thinks it's funny to add a new (never discussed in rules) variable to games sometimes. Like wut.

I'm guessing you probably also have a better score to fall back on than I do right now - sigh. Best of luck!justabitunusual wrote:I just knew there was not enough time for me to get as much studying in as I will need to before feb, I plan to apply now and use Feb score as scholarship negotiation tool...I am not completely ruling out applying to the following cycle, but I'm planning on this cycle.secadc11 wrote:

Thanks for the perspective Dirigo. You're right. It's an overly dramatic day for me I think.Dirigo wrote:(@secadc) A 166 is by no means bad. Checking in,
Finally hit 170 on my 4th PT yesterday, which was pretty encouraging. I somehow managed to miss a game and go something like -8 in games and I'm pretty nervous about that (missed one completely). Also means I got pretty lucky on LR. I think I'll take another tomorrow and start doing 2-3 diags a week? Around how many do most of you do per week? In addition to that I'll probably just be doing a bunch of timed sections I guess with a focus on games. Not sure what's the best way to study at this point.

I did BR last night around the same time, lol. I am going to start forcing myself to wake up at 7am and attempt to take my preptests around 9ish, so when the real thing happens, my body is used to the time.mist4bison wrote:Honestly, I'm impressed you only got -10 on RC considering the time haha. Obviously not indicative of how you can score. When did you BR? This morning? If so, it's still probably not that accurate, since I'm assuming you're running on little sleepMTH2 wrote:Don't start a preptest at one in the morning when you have to force yourself and your mind is tired. I shouldn't have taken it last night because I straight shit the bed. I made so many idiotic mistakes and completely missed one whole game on LG plus minus ten on RC. It's embarrassing as hell. I'll probably retake it in a few weeks. I'm suppose to take one tomorrow, so I need to shake this off.
Preptest 55
LR(-4)
RC(-10)
LR(-7)
LG(-8)

I'm going to be taking Preptest 64 later today at the coffee shop that plays music and often has multiple conversation threads surrounding anyone at anytime.

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Hi all-
So I've done two pts since last posting.. the first of which was pt 56 and i got a 165.. second was pt 57, and I took that yesterday, and got a 171!
During pt 57 I tried some 'positive thinking strategies'--like thinking all preparation is but a problem at a time, and while only the dec. 6 problems 'matter' all of the problems matter because they improve your reasoning skills which is good not only for law school but for life. With that I took to each problem as a sort of duty-bound hurdle--like a bunch of BS is fluffed around the problem and it's up to you to cut through it. I also took a playful attitude to it, rather than a brooding serious attitude to it, which, I think can be harmful. Also tried smiling at parts and stopped to close my eyes and take a deep breath at others. Anyhow the neurosis aside..
pt57:
LG 22/23
LR 24/26
LR exp. 24/25
LG exp. 22/23
LR 2: 22/25
RC 23/27
I think I will have to drill RC for the sake of RC and focus on the numbers/loans/percentage/just-too-many-conditions-esque LR Qs before next PT. Overall I am stoked and ready to push on! Cheers!!

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Finished PT 39 RC untimed.
Over the past two days, my PT 39 untimed sections:
LG: 21/23
LR1: 21/24
RC: 20/28 (
)
LR2: 23/26
85/101
A cool 168 untimed. I seem to be drop 8-11 points due on timed conditions. Is the best way to drill timed now? My target score range is 164-166.

Yeah, I have 4 more fully proctored PT's via BP and in addition to a few self-proctored ones leading up until Dec 6th.MTH2 wrote: Drill timed sections and then take another step up to fully timed tests.
