Significant disadvantage pertaining to scholarship opportunities, overall (even if one's numbers are at/above a school's median LSAT & GPA), or both?

I haven't submitted any applications yet, and I'm not sure if I should do so after I take the Feb 7th exam (and request a review hold until Feb scores are reported) or until I get that score back. I can absolutely understand how applying later will diminish potential scholarship $$ but will it truly impact my overall chances of admission regardless if I have a school's numbers or not?
Just a heads up, you might not have your score until after pretty much every deadline has passed.

I took the December LSAT, but the score isn't high enough for where I want to apply. So it possible to submit applications in February and request that they wait until Feb LSAT scores are released to review my app, regardless if the deadline passed?

For anyone else interested, this is a list of test dates, LSAC announced score release dates, and the actual release dates. From what I read it's kind of a toss up on whether or not the scores will be out late Feb or early March.

I took the December LSAT, but the score isn't high enough for where I want to go. So it possible to submit applications in February and request that they wait until Feb LSAT scores are released to review my app?
Is it possible, yes.
Is it advisable, no.

What's your current official score & why are you so intent on applying this cycle even if you'll be disadvantaged?
Current official score 159; no bueno. February is going to be my third and final attempt. I've been PTing in the mid-high 160s and don't have to balance courses and a job this month as I had to do previously, so I'm feeling much more confident and capable this time around. The reason why I want to apply this cycle is because I'm currently in my 5th year of college (as a result of transferring) and I would prefer not to take a "6th" year. I already feel somewhat behind regarding attending grad school and don't want to lose that momentum.

For what reasons is it not advisable to apply and request to wait? I feel as if it won't influence my chances of admission as long as I have the numbers they usually look for. Fortunately, I'm not financially restrained so the lack of scholarship opportunities aren't a huge concern.

such a silly way of thinking. I was very frustrated when I found out I would most likely be taking a second year off after UG... but realistically who cares. kjd isn't all that grand and theres a large percentage of people who say they wish they took at least a year off in between. Its not as big of a deal as one would think. It gives more time to improve higher than you currently are and are even aiming for so better school opportunities. $ may not be a big concern but why spend 150k+ if you don't need to? go buy urself(or me) a few cars and shiz instead.
It may not have a huge impact in admissions but in a way it does bc it gives you less time to reach your potential.

PT 68

RC (-6)
LR 1 (-4)
LR 2 (-8)
LG (-1)

165

meh, not too happy with this. I didn't go with my gut and changed my answers on several questions leading to 2 missed RC and 2 missed LR. At one point in the second LR I missed 5 out of 6 questions, leading to the horrible -8 in that section. This reassures me of where I'm at and that I can consistently score higher than my last LSAT, but my tendencies always seem to involve one section on LR where I miss a whole bunch in a row and I'm not sure how to fix that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I think I'm gonna finish reading the LR Bible again and see if that helps. I plan on taking December's test this week, but I need to boost my confidence a bit by strengthening that LR score.

Thanks for your advice, Rigo & Jgoody/Smallville. This is definitely a predicament since February would be my third attempt. I have a lot of thinking to do.
