um excuse me but where in my post do you see me saying there's no way she can improve? She asked if theres a way to be sure her LG score is perfect since she has already done the games. So no, unless theres a fresh game to do theres not much of a way to check and be sure theyre on point and its not just having seen them already.... granted I def agree that redoing the games over and over will help improve. 2 different things there budGreenTee wrote:I totally disagree with Superman here. It's hypnotizing, I know. It also reminds me of that LR question about dioxin and fish going downstreamShakawkaw wrote:Can't stop staring at that gif-tar, m27.

But I think if you're going -0 consistently on games sections, you can reasonably expect to go -0 on test day, even if most of those sections are retakes. That's my point.
Sfogs: Don't second guess yourself, and don't worry so much about having an accurate way to gauge your progress. Just do the work, and you'll kill it on test day.

I'm also timing myself at 30 minutes, so I may have been able to take it slower with 5 extra minutes, but still.

Khan, you should definitely take June and apply next cycle. If you're PTing in the high 150s/low 160s range right now, you will probably not be able to score at or above mid-high 160s in February. June is a much better timeline for you to reach your highest potential.

Significant disadvantage pertaining to scholarship opportunities, overall (even if one's numbers are at/above a school's median LSAT & GPA), or both?smccgrey wrote:Also since most schools are on a rolling admissions cycle, people who apply later in the cycle are at a significant disadvantage.
I haven't submitted any applications yet, and I'm not sure if I should do so after I take the Feb 7th exam (and request a review hold until Feb scores are reported) or until I get that score back. I can absolutely understand how applying later will diminish potential scholarship $$ but will it truly impact my overall chances of admission regardless if I have a school's numbers or not?

Is there a better tool to use to report your answers and track progress then using http://7sage.com/score-lsat-test/ ??

Saw a question in the thread earlier about music while studying.
I am using the LSAT Proctor app
if you have any time accommodation, it lets you extend your time
The biggest benefit I find when doing a full PT is to have to listen to the instructions and the coughing and other background noises. It burns up more time then doing it condensed, but I want my time on a full PT to be real world

It doesn't track blind review but I don't care about that since I store that information in an excel document

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
PT40 kicked my ass, and I'm really happy about it lol. It has a REALLY tough LG (the one with airplanes) really hard RC, and not necessarily HARD but old and unusual LR. I'm happy about it because it really made me feel like that would be a worst case scenario thing for the real test. The curve was ridiculously brutal (one of the worst I've seen in comparison to the difficulty) Also, I had some nursing students about 5 feet away from me in a study group while I was on RC, so I'm sure I would've scored higher.

Congrats! I've taken my PTs in relatively noisy places and hope it will work to my advantage. That airplane game has been talked about so much today but it's one of my favorite games! I think because I'm a super spatial thinker so I can visualize it so much easier than stupid in and out grouping games. Or other bad games.ilikebaseball wrote:PT40 kicked my ass, and I'm really happy about it lol. So I just finished BR for my PT yesterday...my LG mistakes were the MOST ridiculous. I'm embarrassed and also amused. Mostly I should learn to read carefully. LR was tough but I definitely can improve..my BR score was 173. I'll get there in no time!

I don't even remember the last time I got a 165 on a pt. Hopefully that's WORST case. I'm hoping they loosen up a bit for feb due to the last 2, but Whatevs
