Tbh I think if I end up taking again sometime when I don't have classes, I'm going to try to avoid doing anything remotely full-time for the month(s) in the lead up to the test. It's driving me crazy thinking how much more time and energy I could be putting into this.

Did much better today than yesterday on my PT. I am going to attribute it to not skipping out in my morning run / skate session. Still didn't break 170 because to get that you'd have to miss at most -10 and I got -11 >_< RC is what killed me again, got a -6. Aced one of the LR sections, got -3 on the other though, so that's good. Probably made a dumb mistake on the two AR questions I missed. That damn RC though. Time to review.

Trying to not get down on myself for not prepping. I've realized that since the LSAT is a skill, and not a set of specified knowledge, it's much easier to remember over breaks.

I know you said that weren't applying this cycle, so are you postponing your test date or you're just gonna stick it out next month?

I wish I took CC classes over the summer every summer while I was in UG so my GPA would be higher (not that it's low, but still)

Def stick it out. I've been ready for months. The problem is that I've felt so good about it for so long that I've been lax on my test prep.

I've been considering that. My CC has 4.3s, which my undergrad doesn't, which would be really helpful. But I don't want it to look like I'm obviously trying to pad my gpa with a bunch of unnecessary, easy CC classes.

I think if you took certain classes that were gen-ed requirements for your major at a CC--I don't think it would look like padding even if you strategically took them there because its easier..

companies like Kaplan require 90th percentile (like a 164). the elite companies like Manhattan and PS want 99th (172+). for Kaplan you can take Kaplan administered exam, for the elite companies you need to do it on an official administration.

Depends the company, but some take 168+ I think. Many 90%+ is necessary. I've seen Testmasters people with scores around there (171) although it is typically higher.

lmao, I can't believe I've gotten a high enough score (on a PT) to technically fit in the ranks of the elite companies.

did the second half of PT 46 (fresh):

LR -1 (4/5 difficulty)
LG -0 (1/5 difficulty) -- super easy.

glad I took a couple days off. my mind felt suuuuuper sharp during both sections. LR felt incredibly easy so I'm surprised it was a 4/5.

I just watched 7sage's strengthen/weaken webinar thing, and although it's pretty long, I found it to actually be pretty helpful. If anyone is struggling with those Q types (I struggle with the high difficulty ones), I recommend that webinar because it's helpful.

Yeah, it should be. I have a paid course so I'm not sure, but it should be.

Yeah, it should be. I have a paid course so I'm not sure, but it should be.
Webinars are actually for those enrolled.
Will check this out (and maybe the rest) after review since I never bother with these.

You think? I thought about it then I started googling it a bit and most people discouraged it as not worth it, (even though like there *is* a difference between a 3.79 and 3.85 ://) so I discarded the idea, but I'm gonna look into it again.

They wouldn't be gen-ed requirements, just random additional classes. Although I can't imagine the adcoms know every school's gen-ed requirements, so it might look like it? (as they'd prob be language.) and tbh I mean, in the unlikely event that they actually looked that deep into my transcript, I think it would be difficult to fault me for taking too many easy electives, as I've taken literally one elective. but I dunno...

I meant just 1 or 2 classes...Im pretty sure on my transcript it says what the credit counts towards. Might be different at different schools, but that was the case for me.

I feel like they are more inclined to reward a slightly lower transcript with harder classes that care about too much of padding unless you are a 4.0 and then they look into it. Who knows though.. just some of my thoughts..

i am puzzled by q3 in 76 RC, and don't see how the credited choice is the right one
[+] Spoiler
it seems that either B or C could also explain the quote
anyone understand this q?

Does anybody have advice on how to approach LR?

My RC is usually between -3 to -5
LG -1 to -3
and LR will be -4 to -7. Each section

I got a 166 on June's LSAT and am aiming for 170 for Sept, but I just can't seem to improve my LR. TIA!!

does "an assumption that the argument requires" still mean a necessary assumption in the recent pts or is it something different? i find this q confusing in that regard, 76.lr2.24
[+] Spoiler
it asks for a necessary assumption but "none" in the credited choice D is more than necessary. That the students who are least enthusiastic about science and who received the passing grade are not the most committed is necessary. But choice D says that students who are least enthusiastic are not the most committed is necessary. So the choice D is a superset of what is indeed necessary.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
