Taking PT 62 today with my BP class. I've been working on RC and am doing a much better job. Untimed (about 10-11 minutes per passage) I can typically go -0 per passage, but timed I am struggling with timing verse properly tagging and identifying the structure. Timed I am still anywhere from -0 to -3 per passage :-/ I guess just more practice to get my timing down pat. But I'm seeing progress! I can get timing down in the next month!

make it into a battle! MEAhrnsbrak vs Nlee in the battle of PT62 GL! RC is a rough one but when I took it yesterday I didn't find the RC too bad (granted I still got plenty wrong) but progress is good! 180 by December!

I'm stuck in one of those ruts where I'm procrastinating because I'm so overwhelmed and anxious about studying, but then putting it off makes me anxious too...it's lethal. I finally got some of the Cambridge packets for LR though and have started to drill.

Would you all recommend just drilling one question type to completion (basically spending a day on one type), or doing a chunk of each type each day?

I would focus drilling on the Q-types that trips you up the most and then do others if time permits.

Personally, I find that if I don't study a Q-type for a week, I become rusty so to speak on my PT's, so I usually just do a little bit of each.

+1 on Nlee's suggestion of switching it up. Forces your brain to think differently, too.

while its important to do a lot of different types often, i think drilling is most effectivre when you do a full packet or question type all the way through to really get a good sense of that type. Just doing 5 or 10 questions of each type in a day isnt going to be as effective as doing all the level 1 and 2 NA or SA, or whatever type, questions to get a good feel for that question type. thats the point of drilling by type and why cambridge breaks it up that way

Also, I realized one positive in re-taking is that when I got my picture taken at CVS for the ticket, they gave me two copies, so I've already gotten that taken care of. I should've known then that that was a bad sign...

I took the Sept exam and scored 8 pts lower than my average PT so I'm retaking in December. I've been following for a while, but wanted to officially jump in to this study group thread.

Hahaha oops...I'm sure you guys will only need one more and then you can save the extras for your next passport or something. I actually like the picture they took. It's a billion times better than my actual passport photo because that one is old and I was only 18 and super pissed at the guy for not letting me smile.

I'm actually surprised we're allowed to smile in these pictures...you'd think the crazy-strict LSAC would want a super stoic expression too. No teeth for LSAT takers

LG: -4 (Missed one and ran out of time for 3...ugh...timing is rarely an issue for me with LG. Stupid stained glass)
RC: -5 (Missed one and ran out of time for 4)

Yea...I don't know. I think I was putting all of my effort into improving my RC that I just slacked everywhere else! Definitely not my best...at all! In good news, my RC is getting sooo much better! In bad news, wow I sucked everywhere else today!

worst score yet, 159 on pt 72.. bombed games hard.. even the easy ones for some reason.

got only 11 correct! other sections I think I got about 20-21 range.


Keep bombing games sections.. dont really know what to do :/ . Not always, but it seems to happening commonly enough that I am pretty worried about it.

LG exp: 16/23 (yikes)
RC: 20/27 (ehh, better than expected)
LR1: 16/26 (trickier than 2nd LR...)
LG: 16/23 (double yikes)
LR2: 18/26 (still tricky)

The stained glass window glass just wasn't clicking for me so wasted a lot of time. Realized how low I was on time, so I quickly did the last game (easy ordering), and had to completely guess on the grouping one....

Who wouldve thought RC would be my best section here...
