Someone shame me please.
do you feel like some of the strategies and such are clicking easier than your first go through?

Yeah, I think it's easier than my first go. I read the Bibles first for a baseline (I think the Bibles are more "basic"). This is my third time on the Trainer, and I always see something differently each time. I'm only going over my problem sections. I did not find the Trainer particularly useful for games (because le duh). I'm more of a visual person, so I like the 7Sage videos better.

Worlds - how did you do with the drills? Graded yet?
I started off with the bibles, too. I bought the Trainer but I'm kind of overwhelmed. I don't see that it's divided by question type so I don't even know how to approach it =\

And yeah, I graded them as I did them (did 5-10 and then had my sister read out the answers for me :P ) and then looked back at the ones I got wrong. That way I kind of learned from my mistakes for the ones that followed.

MSS 18/20
Cannot Be True 13/13
Complete the passage 12/12
Main Conclusion 27/32
Flaw 19/24

just finished LR2, same thing... 2 I know I got wrong (if my BR was right) but a few that I'm slightly iffy on and need more looking into... really don't wanna dive into RC right now :/

Yeah, you get used to the way the Bibles classify question types. Mike uses his own classifications: Just off of the ToC: Chapters 5-9 are all Flaws; 18 - Sufficient Ass.; 19 - Nec. Ass., Strengthen and Weaken, etc.

I would recommend reading just the LR chapters at least, if you haven't. They're listed in the ToC. I think the reason why the Trainer might be overwhelming for someone already familiar with the exam is because it's structured in a way that jumps around. Which, in hindsight, makes me wish I had started with the Trainer because I jump around in my prep too.

Great job on the drills!! :)

ETA: Also, haven't looked at the ToC that closely and noticed a really hilarious quote that Mike put in - "May your curse in life be that your hard work is constantly mistaken for talent." POETIC AF, M.K.

Thanks for this! I'll definitely look at the LR sections before doing the corresponding drills.

Misreading the stimulus...lol. Gotta say some of the argument cores were fairly confusing. Had to reread it many times until I finally understand what it was saying and what to look for. lol. I would do the 2nd LR and RC today but I have PT 62 tomorrow morning so no more LSAT for me tonight. 8)

so caved and graded b4 fully finishing, mainly bc I hate RC and i wanted my score... so haven't looked at exactly what was wrong and that but the 2 for each LR i changed were right however there were apparently ones I apparently thought were right and weren't :/ there were 3 I had to guess on RC which I got right in BR (along with a few other I changed in BR) Overall not happy bc of how it felt and how it ultimately turned out but is technically my highest timed PT (which isn't saying much since its nowhere near what I want) and not a fantastic BR score but still +5 better than actual.... so yeah

I think that's a blessing haha. I'd much rather be known as talented. But now that everyone's talking about the Trainer I think I might cave and give the LR chapters a read tomorrow. Might as well I guess.

well I kinda treated my BR as doing it untimed... but for RC i kinda was burnt out and didn't wanna do anything so skimmed a bit (hence my BR only giving me 4 extra right answers instead of prob 8 I coulda found easily) but I would say treat it like your doing the section untimed, go through it and find all the answers

That's weird. I mean, JY is basically a public figure. Should be fair game.

Well, I decided to take Preptest 55, which I just completed. I cannot say how things went until tomorrow, although, I got no lube'd by the games section at the end...

Taking PT 62 today with my BP class. I've been working on RC and am doing a much better job. Untimed (about 10-11 minutes per passage) I can typically go -0 per passage, but timed I am struggling with timing verse properly tagging and identifying the structure. Timed I am still anywhere from -0 to -3 per passage :-/ I guess just more practice to get my timing down pat. But I'm seeing progress! I can get timing down in the next month!

make it into a battle! MEAhrnsbrak vs Nlee in the battle of PT62 GL! RC is a rough one but when I took it yesterday I didn't find the RC too bad (granted I still got plenty wrong) but progress is good! 180 by December!

got into a debate with my Dad this morning about working out and what the best way to do it is and all I could think about while going back and forth were all the flawed assumptions and arguments he made :P

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
