Yeah I still crave those things so bad. And I literally come from a family that is not too far removed from dairy farmers (grandparents), so it is in the fibers of my being to love all of those things.hereisonehand wrote:Go Toby! I was vegan at one point for about a year or so. Then I remembered how much I love cheese. And eggs. And butter.Toby Ziegler wrote:A mix of a few reasons, I have eaten pretty unhealthily for a lot of years and it was time to make a lifestyle change. My wife is in great shape (like 5'3" 120 lbs. after having two kids and her biggest health concern right now is that she can't see her 6-pack anymore) and enjoys running, more intense hiking, and other stuff of that nature that I have no desire to do because of my fat-ness. And I really want to do those things with her. I don't want to be the guy who dies on his family at like 55 y/o because I didn't have the self control to eat right and exercise. Moreover, the lack of ethical treatment to animals is the other major contributing factor. Now, I am not a preachy judg-y vegan that will piss in your cheerios because I feel superior, for I don't. And I still crave meat so hard and wish I could have a fatty serving of chicken fettuccine Alfredo.BillPackets wrote:toby y r u vegan
If it weren't for my ethical concerns I would have more than likely adopted a lean meat diet and exercise, but I just felt like "going all in" on this. Because I let myself get to the point that I am now (which as I go back and read this makes me sound like one of those people who can't get out of their beds, and that is definitely not me) a drastic change was necessary.
TL;DR I am fat and I love animals.

But, no. We definitely didn't refer to schools by rank. Different programs have stronger areas of study than others, so the perceived prestige of your program is dependent on your speciality. Also, you are judged primarily on the work you produce. Research holds most significance. Someone who has been published and has presented at conferences but attends a lower-ranked school will likely receive more respect than someone who attended a higher-ranked program, but didn't publish or present.

Yeah this has been the hardest for us -- figuring out how to make ish taste good. We did figure out this flat bread with a great sauce and portobello mushrooms and red peppers dinner that was awesome.BillPackets wrote:im eating cheerios at school and that made me lol. also i could never b vegan and idk how ppl do it so props to u altho there was an exclusively vegan/vegetarian cafe at WWC n like idk how but the 1 time i ate down there n 4 years i had the most amazing gravy n it was vegan gravy idk wut they made it out of but it was 180 vegan styleToby Ziegler wrote:that will piss in your cheerios because I feel superior
