Congrats!

Did you feel like you went perfect? RC is tough for me to gauge due to the not-as-concrete nature of the answers.
I felt like I wouldn't have been surprised if I went perfect but wasn't sure if I actually did.

I think if you're feeling unfocused on a PT you should keep going and use it as an opportunity to practice getting back on track. If you lose focus on test day, you're not going to get up and leave and just take it again in December. I know that when I took the test last year I was all jittery and scattered at the beginning and had to calm myself down and really work to start thinking in an orderly manner.

PT 13 this morning. -1 RC for a 180 and another -1 on the RC section that I used as an experimental.

I'm so jealous that you can consistently get very high 170's and 180's. How long have you been studying?

I think my next PTs will be in the 70's. I suppose the late 60's are still very similar, but for my June take I didn't even look at the 70's PTs and I want to this time. Still have to order PT 77, although I think I might have a sufficient amount of PTs either way without it.

Four or five months leading up to February 2015, and now the past three weeks.

how much time do you have left on each section? is the remaining time because you just breeze through easily or because you don't let yourself spend longer than a certain amount of time on one question?

On a fresh PT I use most or all of my time. Today I took 30 and 33 minutes on LR, 34 minutes on LG, and ran out of time and guessed incorrectly on the last question of RC. I've been doing a lot of LG in the past two weeks because I was having some timing problems, but I think I am getting better. I'm going to do a fair amount of work on RC in the next couple weeks.

cool, I didn't think it was a feature of high scorers that they always finish early. I don't have much time left but that's usually because I take more time up front on harder LR questions to make sure I get them right and don't have to come back (but only if I'm moving at a quick pace, which I usually am).

For LR do you tend to start with the harder ones or do you get the easier ones out of the way first?

Haven't posted here much recently since I started a full time job a couple weeks ago. Studying has definitely become tough, but I get about an hour in on the train every morning and try to get around 2 when I come home. My workouts have become way more sporadic but whatever I can get deezed after.

Took a PT today after a very rough week of studying. Seriously, all I got done was BR of a previous test and maybe drilled one section. But today I wrote PT 68 and score a 164! This is my highest score in about a month, so this feels real good.

I ended up going RC -6 LR1 -3 LR2 -7 LG -4

Its tough right now to be sitting at this range, but I know if I can just get my games down to -0 I'm in striking distance of where I want to be.

I just go in order, though if I'm on the last page, I just do the shorter looking ones first.

I find the shorter looking questions in the latter part of an LR section to actually be more complex than the longer ones, lol. Might just be me, but idk.

It's funny how when I first started studying a couple months ago, I was stoked at scores in the upper 160s, but now it's disappointing. At least I'm getting consistent. Sucks though when you think you're jamming on the test and come out of the LR with -8.

ah man I feel like I got owned by PT 67 and the curve is only -10. I went -4 on LG with that stupid Subzone game. Don't even feel particularly good about LR either but I'll see tomorrow after BR

edit: forgot to mention this PT also had the !Kung passage.

Not much done today, just a little bit of stuff but I think i'm done for the day.

2 RC passages -0 on the first and -2 on the second.
2 LG sections that I had done before but wanted to redo since i had gotten at least 1 wrong in the section
PT 60 LG: -0 (29:27)
PT 54 LG: -0 (22:03)

I don't know what to think when I review the questions I missed and on all of them the answer is blatantly obvious. wtf brain, do that shit during the test.

I hate when I read an RC passage, understand it and think that I'm going to destroy the questions, and then I end up getting destroyed BY the questions.

welp, just got my lowest PT score, even lower than my diagnostic. PT 67:

Score 164

RC -8
LR -4
LG -4
LR -3

knew I wasn't going to do well on this before I even finished it, felt off my game the whole time. I would read an LR stimulus then just stare at the problem like I had no clue what I read. idk, just gonna brush it off and take tomorrow off, then look over it on Monday. the !Kung passage and Subzones game didn't help either. the -10 curve also felt really unfair.

Took today off after class. Not gonna lie. Toy Dino's isn't that bad neither is the hounds from hell one... That bus game is kind of nasty. Maybe do some LR when I sober up a bit more.

Damn bro, maybe you just weren't feeling up to it or possibly you're feeling kinda burnt out? If the latter, you should take some time off so that way you can get back to studying before the test and you'll be good to go in a month.

idk I kinda had a shitty morning so I think that's partly why. this is also probably the hardest test out of the 60+.

Stuff like this is what worries me. It seems like as much as you study, if they make the test a certain way or if you're feeling a little off, all that prep you did goes out the window.

PT-38 LG

g1 1:50 min setup, 6:57 min total
g2 4:30 min setup, 12:10 min total
g3 1:20 min setup, 6:50 min total
g4 2:20 min setup, 9 min total

-0 in 35 min, bubbling in as time was called

ps:
games in ACE book are insane. did warmup with g1 from its 7th pt, took me 23 min and -2/6.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
