Recovering frat star here. How bad is your GPA?withoutapaddle wrote:Due to my frat star GPA(not proud of this) my game plan is this:
If I score :
180 = ED UPENN.
175-179= ED Virginia or cornell
170-174= ED Georgetown or Northwestern
165-169= go to wake forest
Below 165= get another cubicle job and live a life of disappointment
I do not plan to let any school know I am going to be taking the June LSAT--at least I do not plan to tell them myself. I am unsure if LSAC lets them know... I am going to submit a deposit at my favorite T20 school before I register. Unless I do exceedingly well on the June exam, I plan to attend law school this fall. If my June score does increase upon my last attempt, I plan to call/email the deans of admission at my T20 and T14 schools, let them know my new score, and either politely ask for more scholarship $$$ at the T20 or for reconsideration of admission at my T14 wait lists. I hope that helps! If anyone knows if LSAC alerts schools to a new LSAT registration and/or if they automatically release the June score, please let me know!jk148706 wrote:Same here. Yes, your June score will be submitted automatically. I believe they are also notified that you registered for another test.Hurricane211 wrote:If anyone knows if LSAC alerts schools to a new LSAT registration and/or if they automatically release the June score, please let me know!

You aren't under review as in they can rescind your acceptance.underwood15 wrote:That's the thing-- I've heard schools are notified and your status checker goes back to "under review."
wait, what about for people who applied this cycle and are retaking in June? I was under the impression that you would have to request that the June score be sent to schools/that schools wouldn't know you registered for June unless you told them (cause June starts a new cycle or something.) Did I totally get that wrong?rebexness wrote:Yes, your June score will be submitted automatically. This is why I am submitting a deposit to my favorite T20 that is already offering me good $$ before I register. I figure if you've paid to reserve your space under certain financial parameters, the school is "locked-in" to admitting you all the same regardless of a June retake or the score from that retake. As far as the wait list schools go, it becomes rather scary. If you bomb the June exam and the score is automatically released, then I would imagine you're worse off, even though they only have to report the higher score.Marshmallow wrote:wait, what about for people who applied this cycle and are retaking in June? Hurricane211 wrote:I just called LSAC and spoke to a representative. I told her my situation--that I applied this cycle, have acceptances and wait list offers, and plan to take the June LSAT for more scholarship $$ and to try to get off wait lists. I asked her 1) if these schools would be alerted to my registration, and 2) if my score would be automatically released. She replied: no school would be alerted to my registration (apparently they never alert registrations), but that ALL SCHOOLS WILL BE SENT MY JUNE LSAT SCORE AUTOMATICALLY. I should have also asked her what happens if I cancel my June exam score, but oh well...

For Dasani, or anyone else having trouble getting motivated. Someone posted this a while back and it's served me well as a reminder of how important studying for this test is:dasani13 wrote:It's been so fucking hard to stay motivated lately.
