It basically is the same thing. Similar to champagne only being called champagne if it is made in the French region of Champagne. otherwise, it's a sparkling wine (or prosecco, if made in Italy)BroManDudeManBro wrote:Had the pleasure of trying Macallan Ruby. Let's just say there will always be a bottle Macallan Ruby on my desk as a lawyer. Even if my firm doesn't let me drink it or offer it to clients, fuck it, I'll sniff it every hour.
it's not alcoholism if your drink is classy, right?
Bourbon is only Bourbon if it's made in the U.S. (preferably Kentucky). Fun fact, U.S. bourbon only uses oak barrels once in the brewing process. We sell our used barrels to Ireland.

Not really fair to knock on Michigan when you look at their employment scores and even their judicial clerkship placement. Unless you're talking about the state itself.kepfd24 wrote:Thanks for the reply. I've also heard the same about scholarships. Some of my peers went there and are at top firms in NYC so I felt like it would be right there with Cornell.RZ5646 wrote:It's the lowest ranked of the T14, supposedly stingy with scholarships, and mostly good for DC public interest, which isn't what I want to do. It also has very little lay prestige compared to its (supposed) peer schools like Cornell and Duke.kepfd24 wrote:RZ, speaking of law schools' reputation, why do you knock on GULC (i recall somewhere you didn't love that school?)RZ5646 wrote:Michigan's reputation has been in free fall for like 40 years, and good luck finding a good job in Michigan now that Detroit's dead... I guess my main concern is quality of education.
I don't fall into the same boat as a lot of the guys posting in here. Some people seem to think they get into their dream school then they are a shoo-in for their dream job.... idk but I think success in one's career extends beyond a school's prestige/reputation.

Those rankings don't help your free fall comment at all. It's slipped, yes. Free falled and irrelevant, no.RZ5646 wrote:Less than 30 years ago apparently: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... .php?t=213The Abyss wrote:When were they ranked #3?RZ5646 wrote:Yeah but it's gone from number 3 to not even in the top 10 anymore.seashell.economy wrote:"Freefall" meaning holding place in the T14 for years? lolkepfd24 wrote:RZ, speaking of law schools' reputation, why do you knock on GULC (i recall somewhere you didn't love that school?)RZ5646 wrote:Michigan's reputation has been in free fall for like 40 years, and good luck finding a good job in Michigan now that Detroit's dead... Anybody else making a happy and sad box before grey day — one to celebrate with for a good score and one to console after a bad score?

I begin to get the feeling RZ will be the guy who, despite top 5% and LR at a T6, manages to strike out at OCI. We're talking 0 CB potential here, folks.fips tedora wrote:Continue to ether thine self RZ, it makes my job easier.

They're all whiskeys. I don't find scotches, bourbons, and ryes to taste all that similar tbh, but I've been drinking them for a decade plus.BroManDudeManBro wrote:Had the pleasure of trying Macallan Ruby. Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
I like you. Buffalo Trace is some great stuff for the price and probably my favorite overall distillery. I'm just envious of the Pappy. I love Weller 12. It's complex, great tasting and cheap. Not to mention all Pappy starts as Weller 12.LurkSoHard wrote:Tito's is my go to vodka but grey goose for grey day!!The Abyss wrote:Tito's is better and cheaper, unless you're set on the name matching the day.LurkSoHard wrote:I'm drinking grey goose for sure
I am avid bourbon collector! I've got some Pappy 20 at the house after i find out the score!! Elijah Craig 12 is a great bourbon! My daily bourbon has to be buffalo trace! Also, if you find some of the Rhetoric from Orphan Barrel Co. BUY IT THERE ON THE SPOT!! Easily one of my favorite bourbon's and I'd rate it above Pappy 15. Its truly amazing. Butterscotch, vanilla, and just enough smoke but not overwhelming the other flavors. Its truly amazing!daDudeAbides28 wrote:I'm seeing a surprising lack of bourbon on the drink menu for gray day...
