Absolutely. the amount of work that has gone into designing and building the cars is just phenomenal. The Abyss wrote:F1 is all about watching in amazement of the ridiculous technology at work.galeatus wrote:Thanks!tedofsandimas wrote:+1. Also I like your new tar.galeatus wrote:

(BRAG ALERT: I was offered to work for one of the F1 teams last year, thought about it but eventually turned it down (decided not to pursue an engineering career) and chose to go to LS instead.)

The last day for Dec. LSAT registration is this Friday, the 23rd. MAny people would take the Dec. LSAT (more money for LSAC) if they score lower than they want (and you should! I have blogged about this 100 times here is one: http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/should- ... -agree-yes). So it is in LSAC's best interest to get a score out this week, albeit likely late in the week because they like that it seem.
Just my 2 cents, expect change!

But then again you've got the Indy500! Which is just as good, and the atmosphere is definitely better.tedofsandimas wrote:I enjoy watching it on TV! David Hobb's commentary is always entertaining. I no longer have cable so I don't get to watch it anymore.galeatus wrote:

And I didn't get into F1 until well after they stopped the US Grand Prix in my city in 2007, so sadly I have never been to a GP even though I had numerous opportunities.
Definitely gonna go to the US GP some time when I'm at LS, Austin just seems like such a fun place to go.

There was a time when I studied mechanical engineering and wanted to be an F1 engineer. Then all the math happened, I was lazy and I quit and went to political science. That was one really, really, dumb mistake.galeatus wrote:Absolutely. the amount of work that has gone into designing and building the cars is just phenomenal. The Abyss wrote:F1 is all about watching in amazement of the ridiculous technology at work.galeatus wrote:Thanks!tedofsandimas wrote:+1. Montreal. That track is awesome. Long straights followed by hard braking and tight turns. Definitely the track that tests the cars braking technology the most. Also, fast sections with hard braking = passing.tedofsandimas wrote:And the 2016 500 will be the 100th running, so that's exciting and there should be even bigger turnout than normal. We had to skip the 500 last year because of a family obligation, and that's the first 500 I have missed in at least 6 years. But since we live in town we get to go to several pre-race events at the track, which are almost just as fun.galeatus wrote: But then again you've got the Indy500! SO and I keep tossing around the idea of going to either Austin or Montreal next year, we just haven't decided which yet.

Failed to surpass previous score: Fleischmann's, or something equally reprehensible. Maybe some Everclear.Sera Numquam wrote:New poll idea: drink of choice come gray day

Being a senior in a mechanical engineering course, I still have no fucking clue whatsoever about how the maths work. I just try to do everything with as little maths as possible. The Abyss wrote:There was a time when I studied mechanical engineering and wanted to be an F1 engineer. At orientation many years ago, one professor said to us, "You will have to take thermodynamics. You will not understand it, and don't try. Just do the math, don't try to understand what the hell is actually going on."galeatus wrote:Being a senior in a mechanical engineering course, I still have no fucking clue whatsoever about how the maths work. Yep definitely Montreal. Austin has got some incredible elevation and complex corners (T3-4-5-6) but it's just too wide with WAY too much run-off. Montreal is more stop-start but the race there is almost always spectacular. The Abyss wrote:Montreal. That track is awesome. Long straights followed by hard braking and tight turns.
