Yeah I let my mind wander on easy ones and take too long, then run out of time towards the end sometimes. Trying to give myself little tasks for each paragraph (quickly jot down main idea/argument for each) seems to help. I have also found that wine beforehand helps me focus but I'm afraid that isn't a great test-day strategy.

Where do you guys take your PTs at? I have a nice little set-up. I go to the local community college and reserve a room. My only problem is you can only sign-up for blocks of two hours. Luckily there are 3 rooms so I sign-up back 2 back. But this morning these chicks crossed my name off the list. So I had to scramble to another building but couldn't find a unoccupied room, so I took the last two sections in an open computer hall.

Also I have made it mandatory that I blind review all four sections of a PT I take before I check my scores. On Monday I took PT 65 and this morning I took PT 74, I have a lot of anxiety cause I want to know what scores I got! Almost done reviewing both. I also just finished the Trainer. I think I need to go back and really master flaw questions. Sighhh so much work to do in the next month.

Not to be OT or anything, but I saw this article about how mediterranean diets are correlated with less brain shrinkage and a larger brain volume..
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/could-a-med ... ain-cells/

I thought it was interesting since I was just drilling MBT questions, and I had a question on mediterranean diets being correlated with less heart disease the other day.

Also, anyone finding the LSAT is taking over your brain and thinking patterns? I was having dinner with my mom and sister the other day and my sister made a flaw in the reasoning (typical correlation-causation flaw) and I began explaining why her assessment was actually a correlation and not a causation. Needless to say they were quite irritated with me lol.

Yes. I have found myself prefacing things in my head with "assumes, without providing justification...." and I'm afraid I'm going to say it out loud. I have done similar things re: causation (and assumptions) to the S/O and when I get riled up about about bad science reporting.

158 on PT 62. RC ruined it for me (-10) and for some reason I struggled with the LG section of this test. Although this is a huge improvement from my diagnostic score of 150. I've only gotten about a third of the way through the Trainer and this was my 3rd PT. How difficult will it be for me to hit 165 in December?

Checking in.

157 in October with a whopping -21 (yes you read that right) on LR. I know what I'll be drilling for a while.

I'm joining y'all. I'm devastated about my October score and scored 8 points lower than my PT average. I'm not sure how it happened, but I'm obviously retaking.

What are ya'll's study plans?

My worse was by FAR reading comprehension. I ordered the Powerscore RC book as their books really helped me with LR and LG. I guess I'm going to do 2-3 timed tests a week (not sure if I should do more?) and drill RC until I can get -0.

I know many of you are in here because you got a score tonight that was devastating.

Back in December 2009, I woke up to a score while at my in-laws for the holidays that was devastating. It was lower than ANY PT I had ever taken other than my diagnostic. I had prepped hard and followed all the TLS wisdom - used the Bibles, reviewed all questions even if I got them right, and had taken literally every PT available. Then somehow on test day I missed 7/8 on one reading passage. I sobbed in my in-laws living room.

Fast forward to my retake and I got the score I needed. Reusing study materials was not a problem. Got my score, got into my dream school.

Moral of the story: dropping in to tell you retakers that you CAN do this.

I was focused on LR and LG.
