Is anyone's else life in shambles right now?

Well when you get into the post 16 range the Qs get more difficult.

You should def see if u can find some sort of pattern w the strengthen/weaken. Did u do all the drilling packets ?

I haven't done all the packets, but a lot of the question types i'm essentially 100% on so it wouldn't be worth it. I did 1's and 2's for Strengthen/Weaken, Flaw, and NA. Any suggestions for trying to find patterns in missed questions? I've looked through them, and nothing so far has jumped out at me.

What do u mean that u are essentially 100% on those Qs? Didn't u miss 6 combined on LR on the PT u took today?

LR constantly repeats itself. The same type of trap answers will show up again and again (such as premise boosters), the same type of flaws will show up again and again (causal, overvaluing a trait, etc). LSAC will use the same logic an correct answer choices for certain types of flaws (e.g. if it is a weaken Q, and the flaw is that the stimulus overvalues a trait, look for an answer choice that calls that trait into question/shows something else is at play).

Just one example: I know in the more recent tests a somewhat common strengthen answer choice is one that simply reinforces the premise of the argument (such as showing the premise holds in nearly identical circumstances. IMHO it's a pretty subtle strengthener and one that I initially had an issue w but I started recognizing it and now see it for what it is.

All as in every one of Cambridge's? No. I have this massive Kaplan tome that sorts by question types, and I also have every single test from 1-55, so I haven't felt the need. I've been only using Cambridge for my weakest areas: Strengthen, Weaken, Parallel Reasoning.

I'm real curious about your issues w strengthen/weaken. Sometimes I think it's helpful to take any assumption family Q (flaw, NA, SA, etc) and write out potential answers to every type of assumption family Q. So write down weakeners, strengtheners, NAs, SAs, flaw(s). I know that helped me really see how each type of assumption family Q turns on one another. Sometimes the correct answer choices in Strengthen Qs sound a whole lot like NA.

Idk just kind of an interesting thing to do.

LOL. No. I wish. Most of the regular score posters on here do a lot better than I do on LR. I did have a pretty tough time w it initially tho so I spent a lot of time working on assumption fam Qs.

By 100% I meant that over the last 8 PTs I've taken, I haven't missed any MC, Method, Parallel Reasoning etc. So basically your advice is to keep going over the assumption family questions so I can more easily see the flaws and pick out the trap answers?

I put it all together for a cycle a few years ago n LSAC keeps them all file for 5 years so I got lucky there

I have my LORs and transcripts complete, still need to write my PS. Note that it can take a long time for foreign undergrad records to be processed - excluding the time wasted by the institution, it took me about two months from the moment my records were mailed. But someone else in the international applicants thread reported that LSAC processed his records in 8 business days (for me it was more like 20).

As to LSAT prep, I'm gonna take PT67 today (have 68/69 planned for next weekend, and 70/71 for the weekend after).
