Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
When you guys drill do you just do it in 25 question sections? Or do you just do as many as you can to build endurance and then check all after?
edit: specific question types I mean. For example, do you drill like 25 SA questions at a time? and do you time yourself 35 minutes to do so?

I only do timing with sections and PTs. At this point, I'm not all that worried about timing (and in any case I don't think rolling off 25 strengthens is really indicative of an entire LR section). But I do like to time myself with LG and RC when I'm doing games (especially hard RC passages)ilikebaseball wrote:When you guys drill do you just do it in 25 question sections? ya i was thinking that too, that's why i asked. I don't think 25 parallel structure questions is that good of a thing to time, lol.Big Red wrote:I only do timing with sections and PTs. So, do you just do 25 untimed questions at a time and grade after?

Definitely not the person to follow on this, but I'm pretty schizo when I drill in that I take a couple RCs then I do the LR types I'm working on then a couple of LG and so on and on and on. I find that I will stay focused and in the smelly public library longer if I let myself mix things upilikebaseball wrote:ya i was thinking that too, that's why i asked. Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
how can you? Unless you're timing yourself, I guess lol. If you ARE timing yourself, i dont see why not. Its a great method and really allows you to distinguish whether your weakness is conceptual or timinggamerish wrote:You're not supposed to BR drills right? I figured you check the answers after each game (or passage for RC, etc) so you can catch yourself if you make a mistake and not repeat it continuously since you're doing the same type of question over and over. Not doing that seems like a great way to waste drills to me...

I feel this was aimed at me for the September thread. We just young kids having fun.Dirigo wrote:I endorse the new tar idea.zacboro wrote:Agenda for tomorrow:
1) get a new tar
2) start posting gifs since I've FINALLY been here for two weeks and can do so.
Be careful with your gif game. You need to be selective and not do it too frequently. Some posters ITT have a bad gif reputation and that's hard to lose.
Welcome to the cool kid table, zac. I'm glad you no longer have crayons up your bhole.
And I'm spending my 6,000th post replying to you. Feel special.
