It really depends on the firm. Sometimes the process from application date to interviews can take a few months, so I would do some research and find what companies you want to apply too and try your best to find out the application --> day 1 of work timeline.proteinshake wrote:okay so I have a job related question. so if I want to start working AFTER I take the LSAT (so anytime after Sept 24), when should I apply to jobs? I'm trying to get a job at this major sales and marketing company in my area but I don't want to apply too early and be like "yeah can I start in two months?" I feel like that'd sound weird and I'd have to tell them I'm taking the LSAT (which might cause them to not want to hire me since I won't be there long term). thought I assume they wouldn't contact me right after I apply. thoughts?
From my experience a small business has a quick turn-around where now would be too soon (maybe 2 weeks or so turnaround) and larger corporations can be a month or so.
In sum, do research now and setup a timeline.

Been BRing LR 3 from PT 60 today and just finished up BR for it: -2. Did BR for LR 1 and LG yesterday, but I will be doing BR for RC later on today.
It makes me somewhat excited that my BR score (SO FAR without RC being BR) is a 170.
my BR so far for PT 60 is
LR: -2 (original: -7)
LG: -0 (original: -5)
LR: -2 (original: -9)
RC: -7 (Not BR score, this is my original timed score)
that's already that -11 for that 170 lmao. i know it doesn't mean jack shit, but fuck it i'm happy about it

Great, Np! I'd imagine they will be looking to hire beginning of Sept. Best of Luck!proteinshake wrote:okay cool. it's a pretty large sales and marketing firm. Ok so I don't really asked for help on a single question on here, but I really do need clarification with a question. I've watched the 7sage video for it and read through some of the comments on Manhattan's forum, but this just seems like such a shitty question to me still.

I wonder how taking a pre-workout before a section/PT would turn out lol

LOL honestly the focus would be nice. I took a scoop before a test one time.. It was great for energy, but I just wanted to get up and curl something the whole timeproteinshake wrote:I wonder how taking a pre-workout before a section/PT would turn out lol

By all means find a method that works for you personally but I try to not answer any question on memory alone. I've found that my timing is better when I don't spend too long on the initial reading and instead take time to reread relevant sections to answer questions.TheMikey wrote:Initially I guess both. It takes me about 4 mins to complete a passage, and then I find myself on the questions for about 6-7 mins, no matter if it has 5 or 8 questions. I try myself to go off of memory on the questions, but even then I hesitate a ton which eats up all of my time.Justice4Birdperson wrote:What's taking up most of your time? The initial reading or answering the questions?TheMikey wrote:Is there anyone here (doubt it) that doesn't finish RC sections on time, and is actually just going to focus on getting 3 passages done and all correct? I read on 7sage that if you can't do all 4 passages in time, even after tons of practice, that getting perfect accuracy on 3 passages is a second option. I also saw some small tips about skimming the 4th passage for questions that directly ask you to go to a line and you just try to figure it out. Or questions that ask about the authors view, you can try skimming for that.
I might have to accept the fact that my RC skills are just not on fleek, as the youngsters are saying now a days.

Interesting. How long does it take you to read each passage? And how long does it take you on average to finish up the questions for that a single passage?Justice4Birdperson wrote:By all means find a method that works for you personally but I try to not answer any question on memory alone. Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
So I officially have testing problem. I'm thinking about maybe doing a PT every other day or something - anyone had experience with that? I know drilling >>> PTs, but my accuracy on drilling would easily land me in the 176+, and I'm consistently underperforming on PTs.
I think I'll BR this one, I guess? Tbh, it takes such a long time and I know that my untimed / sans nerves accuracy level is pretty good, so I'm not sure it's really the best use of my time, but I think it would make me feel better, at the very least.

I think doing that many PT will very quickly result in burnout. When you say a testing problem, do you mean just having nerves?Alexandros wrote:So I officially have testing problem. Dude, time your drilling. It makes it infinitely more effective.

Mainly nerves, also endurance + mornings.TheMikey wrote:I think doing that many PT will very quickly result in burnout. It just seems like it's so close to test day now and I'm so close to being where I want - testing performance is really the last obstacle. But yeah, burn-out's still a valid concern, of course.

Drills are definitely timed! 35 min section, although I'm usually under 30.SweetTort wrote:TheMikey wrote:I think doing that many PT will very quickly result in burnout. That's what I'd heard too. My last 2 were in the 60s and went -0, which is less wrong than I seem to get drilling older ones. May have been easier sections / luck / the fact that I mainly drill the hardest from Cambridge packs.appind wrote:Alexandros wrote:Anyone else find newer RCs easier?

Yea- Just keep at it and stay motivated. Your drilling performance indicates you have what it takes, but I think you just need to stay motivated and be persistent putting all your skills together for Test Day. I think all of sudden you will peak and just blow your PTs out of teh water. And yeah as mentioned before, don't overdo it either.Alexandros wrote:Mainly nerves, also endurance + mornings.TheMikey wrote:I think doing that many PT will very quickly result in burnout. Alright so just finished up BRing RC for PT 60, so now I'm done with this test.
PT 60 breakdown:
LR: -7 (BR -2)
LG: -5 (BR -0)
LR: -9 (BR -2)
RC: -7 (BR -4)
Original score: 159
BR score: 173
that BR score makes me feel good inside , that potential tho
