I was about to support it, but apparently IKEA has discontinued the best desk ever: The BORGSJO corner desk. ESP if space is cramped [or you have a room that is narrow], look into corner desks. the amount of reachable real estate you have is unbeatable. The Micke looks like it may be a solid secondary option / has a similar layout.Barack O'Drama wrote:proteinshake wrote:going to IKEA later today to buy a desk. the only place to study at my house right now is next to the living room and it gets pretty loud.

That is something I honestly did not even consider! I had a cheap desk from Walmart I got for $70, however, the damn thing was so low my knee could not fit under haha. I guess the old adage is true: "You get what you pay for." Thanks! I am definitely going to go check those out. I definitely want to get it before next week.34iplaw wrote:I was about to support it, but apparently IKEA has discontinued the best desk ever: The BORGSJO corner desk. I have one about an hour away and luckily I am going to be right in the same area Thursday evening. I have never been inside one, so I am kind of looking forward to it. A desk would do me wonders for studying/staying organized.

I don't think anyone is equipped to do four hours of LG haha, do you do one four hour block? Maybe two hours then a break and then two hours may help?SweetTort wrote:Macallan wrote:Endurance has been hard for me too.SweetTort wrote:Is anyone else struggling with endurance? if you need to mass print cambridge packets or something else, you can upload your documents on the UPS Store's website and pick it up at your nearest store. they charge 10 cents a page and you get a 15% off coupon for signing up via email!

Haha I have been lucky printing stuff at work. But this UPS idea seems fantastic. I will definitely be going this route!
Thank you!

Sounds quite similar to me. I had my diagnostic of 163 a month or two ago and I'm currently testing in the 170-173 range. Your goals sound a little higher than what I'm thinking right now - I'm trying to make sure to keep my expectations realistic so I'm not disappointed by where I end up.SweetTort wrote:Speaking of which, if anyone is looking for a virtual study partner, I'm game. Looking to study very intensely from now through July, easing up a little in August and September. Looking for someone whose goal is in the 170+ range.SweetTort wrote:Today begins my summer of LSAT prep. Currently PTing in the 170-172 range. Hoping to be hitting 174-176 by July, and 176+ by September.
First obstacle-- logic games. Drill baby drill.
LG was the first section I focused on too, and I'm already seeing early signs of progress.

I am about halfway through the Bibles. When is a good time to start full section drills and PT'ing? Should I wait till I finish the books or start soon with taking 1 PT a week- or something along those lines?

Interested in this as well. Also about drilling question types.jagerbom79 wrote:I am about halfway through the Bibles. When is a good time to start full section drills and PT'ing? Should I wait till I finish the books or start soon with taking 1 PT a week- or something along those lines?
Just did the linear sections in the PowerScore LG bible. I hit 100% accuracy on the question drills, and I was confident in every answer. Typically, I would get to every question except one or two within the eight minute mark [still too long IMO]. The one exception was the stupid archaeologist and 8th, 9th, and 10th century drills. I couldn't figure it out, because I just made a really basic reading comprehension error [10th AD is the most recent century!]...ironically, it was by far the fastest one after I realized that.
Any suggestions on how to improve speed without sacrificing accuracy, or, in y'all's experience, does it naturally improve as you do more and more games?

No problem! Corner desks are the bomb...small foot print and everything is accessible. I was in a long narrow room so mine used to double as my nightstand and desk! I'm currently using a fold out table when I am studying at home...not a fan.Barack O'Drama wrote:That is something I honestly did not even consider! Anyone care to start a study group via e-mail/google hangouts? Or, if there is one...can I join? lol. Studying for this exam is my full time job now since I got laid off, so being held accountable would be awesome.

Hey all,
I'm in it for September! Just started The LSAT Trainer and have the Powerscore LG Bible in the mail. Actually really excited to delve into it. Planning on taking my first diagnostic in a couple of week because I want some foundation of the test before I go in. Hopefully thats not a HUGE deal (please tell me otherwise if you think its necessary to take one cold before I get too into it).
But anyway good luck to everyone and I'll be checking back in with progress!

Reviewed some RC and drilled some LR.
While making my schedule for the week, it looks like I will be taking PT 62 Saturday - fully timed and at the same test time as game day.
