No, it's PT7, LR 1, #16 about comets and light being reflected. Manhattan gives a mathematical definition and I just don't get it, and I can't figure out the correct logic on my own.Rigo wrote:Have to do with a reflection in a mirror? If not, I don't know. Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
Hey, I'm currently deciding between taking the Feb. or the June test; I made a topic, but haven't gotten many answers, so I thought I'd post here.
I've been studying about 8-10 hours a week since late May. I was unemployed in the summer, so I spent that time learning the concepts of the LSAT with the occasional practice test. Then, once I started working full-time, I did a section of LR, RC, or AR at lunch and then a practice test every other weekend. I worked my way from 146 to 170, and was feeling confident. However, starting last week I began intense prep by taking 3 practice tests a week and reviewing the tests. My most recent scores have been 171, 171, 166, 167, and 170. I don't feel burnt out (in fact, my stamina has been great), but I'm wondering if this cramming is detrimental? For example, I used to miss zero questions on AR, but now I miss 1-3, have been stuck in the 2-5 range for LR for quite sometime, and went from missing 2-4 on RC to missing 6-7. Should I postpone the test to June, and instead take a practice test every single weekend, especially since I won't enroll in law school till fall of 2017 anyways?
P.S. I want to score 175-180, but I'm worried that I've reached my natural ability on the test
I'd love some input!

Alright, y'all, officially checking in!
Postponing was painful, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run. Currently PTing in the low 170's. Looking to get that to 177+.

Sounds like we're in the same boat. Were you planning on taking it in Feb?WorthlessDegree wrote:Alright, y'all, officially checking in!

I'm not an LSAT guru or anything, but I think postponing to June would be a good option for you. I think you definitely can hit your desired score range by February if you are systematic about it, the only issue for me with February is it is a non disclosed test so you cannot have access to the test or your answer choices. I also have heard that when people start seeing dips in their scores it is because they are burned out and need to relax a bit, maybe if you try that your AC will come up. If you are comfortable with not having access to the test and your answer choices, I would say go for February. I have heard also that be prepared to score a few points below the score you average on, and to take your last 5 PT's to be the most valid indicator on your potential score.RamTitan wrote:Hey, I'm currently deciding between taking the Feb. or the June test; I made a topic, but haven't gotten many answers, so I thought I'd post here.

Yup! Most of my missed Q's are in Logic Games, so I think I just need to spend some time drilling and I'll be in a good position for February.RamTitan wrote:Sounds like we're in the same boat. Were you planning on taking it in Feb?WorthlessDegree wrote:Alright, y'all, officially checking in!

I'm choking on MSS questions, does anyone have any advice for me? I'm currently reviewing the last questions I got wrong. Then, I will read the chapter on Inference questions in Trainer. I feel so frustrated.

I haven't done the MSS q's yet but when I do look at them I remind myself that everything in the text is true and correct and only one of the ACs will be based off the information provided. Kind of like "according to the passage" questions in RC. Not an expert/high-scorer but hope this helps.

There is plenty of time to get your discipline set up. ~Six months is a long way lolchicharon wrote: I flunked that test of discipline a couple times already!
Redlines/blacklines are docs that show the changes made from one version to another. It looks like track changes. A redweld is this expanding folder-type thing that is often used to hold docs, folders, correspondence, etc.
And home is the Philippines![]()
Philippines! I almost did a stint in the Mindanao region over the summer; didn't get the funds approved :/ Will probably visit the country after the exam though!

Lol, has this competitiveness influenced your decision to pursue Law School?ngogirl12 wrote: tons of intellectuals if you meet the right people; it's more like big city meets small town meets suburbs.. and every parent is a major overachiever, nothing is good enough unless its near perfection and even then it doesn't come close (I'm talking about Silicon Valley bc that's where I'm from), so it's no surprise everyone I went to high school with ended up in SF or LA lol and in completely different fields than the parents..

The school was in Norway, the most beautiful European country I've been to. Red lighting sounds like an interesting concept; I'll have to look it up. Do you remember the name of the scholar?ngogirl12 wrote: Oh awesome! Where did you go to high school in Europe?
Yours sounds interesting! I went to a talk on cybersecurity in SF two weeks ago. The scholar had just released a book, he was from CFR and discussing about red lighting (the games that intelligence experts play to get through the mind set and defeat the terrorist actor).
Mine was looking at non state actors and how they manipulate security vacuums to garner support.

All those who were prepping for Feb but decided to postpone to June, quit LSAT for few weeks/month and go get wasted or something. Let your subconscious settle some of the new knowledge you gained.

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
So, I spent the entire day reviewing a few MSS questions. I was very frustrated that it took so long, but there was this post on the MLSAT forums LR reasoning that really really REALLY helped the MSS questions click (I hope) for me. It's the question about Monroe and eating his 3 large meals, the poster (I think a MLSAT instructor in NY) her name was Christine Lebauch or something like that her first name was Christine though and her post was the second to last. She first explained inference/MSS questions, broke down the stimulus, discussed why this was not a conditional logic situation (many previous posters were confused about wrong answer choices discussed their diagramming)=what it would look like if conditional, and went over the answer choices. I rewrote everything she discussed in my notebook with the question, yes I got it wrong. And I'm going to really read that page before going to bed, I'm trying to drill the reasoning in my head. Just seeing this explanation really helped me see what (I think) I am doing wrong in this question set. I still have to read the Trainer chapter and then will hit the questions I have yet to complete. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
