Huh, I very much scaled down my expectations relative to my PT range in comparison. I haven't scored below 170 in like 2 months, most tests have been 172-179 (except for one 170). If I hit the bottom of my PT range, personally I'll be satisfied. Maybe it's jsut because everyone says to expect a 3 point drop on your first test or whatever, but I definitely have tempered expectations.

If I recall correctly, you were doing Velocity, right? How much an improvement have you made, and how many weeks did you do? Hitting over 170 consistently is quite good, congrats.

-----Good luck to everyone!
Yep, I did Velocity. I started it middle of November and finished it up in about 6 weeks, so I was done with all the material Dave provides by the New Year, so that was pretty intensive every day a few hours to get it done that fast. My first test done with Velocity was a 164 and my last test was a 175 with a pretty standard increase throughout the ten tests. I figured doing that I would get a really good base understanding of everything then I would take the last few weeks to do drilling and Practice tests. Since then I've probably done a dozen more tests, all 170+ with a peak of 179, and have done a lot of drilling (I bought a lot of stuff from Cambridge LSAT). I think my strategy was pretty good. Going through velocity fast I was able to learn all of the strategies, then I took a lot of time on my own to hammer them home.

took an lsat today and was upset by the results
#65
23/25 lr
20/23 lg
12/27 rc
23/26 lr

78/101=163

normally i get around 20 in rc, and i ave gotten 22-24. yesterday my lowest score was a 19 while taking 4 rc sections. But, this section killed me, i got 1/8 on the final passage on agricultural overproduction.

so it look like i am the last guy to drop from this thread. My volatility was to high for me to go in with confidence

I needed a 168 to make this retake worth while, and when i missed it with that final 166 i decided that considering that this would be my 3rd retake in 2 years and i haven't been accepted at any satisfactory schools yet, that it would be better to deffer until i can be certain to score higher. So hopefully my 166 gets me into Fordham/Emory for next year, if not i will have plenty of time to shoot higher next year

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to posting but I have been reading your posts and TLS posts for years now. I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on my situation. I took the October 2011 LSAT and I don't know if it was the pressure or unexpected answers but I scored about 8 points below my average on the October 2011 LSAT.

So I'm taking the Feb 2012 LSAT and have been averaging around 165/166 but have hit a high of 173. I just wanted to know what I should expect come tomorrow? I hate not being able to know the curve afterwards!

Same thing happened to me yesterday (see above) :) Don't worry about it. Alot of people had problems with it. Go into it tomorrow knowing you've done well in prepping and that even if something completely nutty happens you can't stress about it. Good luck!

I'll second that, and if you've scored a 173 and it came from a pretty recent test, PT 55s and up, I think that is a good indicator of where you're at, 8 points is quite a jump from your average and could be because of test day jitters.

You also mention the aspect of "unexpected" answers but keep in mind, the test will be like any other LSAT you have taken in terms of what the questions will be asking you do, so you have to go in their and pick those things out from what might seem to be something completely new and different, which it isn't.

Unless the Feb LSAT is a blackhole of answers that nobody ever gets to actually see again and are actually different....... but I'm sure they aren't!

Kick ass tomorrow!

I also had an unusually low test score on my October LSAT and will be retaking tomorrow! Good luck to everyone! If you have snow coming (like me in Western CO) drive safe!

Hello my friends!

I just got off the boat yesterday. I was on the POS ENTERPRISE for the past month. Another reason I had decided to postpone (Much of my prep would have had to have been on the boat, and as it turns out we were WAAAAAAY too busy for me to have put in the kind of PTing I had been doing previously). Thus my decision to postpone turns out to have been a rock solid one.

Lots of new faces around here since I last posted. Bernaldiaz, where you been bro? You and I practically started this thread, then you disappeared!

Just wanted to wish you all good luck on the big day. You've all put in 172+ level effort, and you deserve nothing but the best. May the test have mercy on your souls (I'll be getting mine in December!)

Haven't been here since about page 3, but good luck everyone. You all deserve some coffee after the test, because coffee is for closers.

Wouldn't say it was easy, i thought a couple sections were kind of tough, one was medium, and one was really easy

I'm pretty sure we can speak in generalities. i remember for December there was one thread that said "LG-RC-LR-LR-LG" or something like that, where the people mentioned what order they had. Also, I wouldn't mind getting a short ban right now so I'm not on here obsessively checking and dissecting for the next three weeks haha

Well if it's all good I had LR-LG-LR-LR-RC and my 2nd LR seemed a bit curious...

If that's the case, mine was LG-LR-LG-RC-LR. I'm a little uncomfortable right now. Did anyone else get 100 total questions rather than the usual 101? The questions for each were 23-25-23-27-25, counting my answer sheet. I checked a few times, but I just wanna make sure I didn't misbubble.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
