you still need good grades even if you are at a top school, its not as crucial, but yeah.

i was looking at law school building and even though i know of cooley's reputation, some how i did not expect a holiday inn as their building http://law-schools.startclass.com/l/202 ... ol-Florida

I knew a lot of people who made this mistake in Engineering undergrad. They thought well engineering = job so I don't have to try. So yeah.. sub 3.0 does not equal job

possibly or perhaps 24% all score 140. But since its a holiday inn im going with a couple 130s.

If anyone here is applying/interviewing for jobs soon, are you telling them upfront that you're likely quitting in a year to go to law school, or just leaving that part out?

This may sound stupid, but is there a list of schools that show which tend to be gunner schools? When I visited Miami, they emphasized they weren't a gunner school, but obviously I need to do my research prior to confirm or deny that.

Nah the majority are probably clustered right at 140. doubtful their adcomm would admit applicants with drastically lower scores than their 25% since those students likely wouldn't be able to compete. wouldn't be ethically consistent with their admissions model

Sometimes, I screenshot the blank score box from LSAC and use MS Paint to draw a really high score in the box with a little smiley face to make myself feel better. This is what LSAC has reduced me to.

I think if you visit, every school will tell you "we have a laid back, collegial atmosphere. Students really love helping each other here. We're not like those other law schools!!"

I wouldn't tell them...unless its a paralegal job and you state you are actually interested in coming back to the area and that their company also is somewhere you would like to practice

There is a list and most say baylor is really competitive. Princeton review does the list. but there's also a list for sutdents who study the most if you consider that gunning and cornell is pretty up there. So it's your definition of what gunning is.
