Re: Decembre 2013 Waiters
Man, that's crazy that several of you are still waiting. Maybe they just want to send out a big lump of 180s to start the new year right?

Good chance LSAC will be closed today due to Arctic weather heading east.

Someone on the Rutger's Dec 7th thread (their scores have been on hold) just said they got their score today. Maybe there is hope.

I applied to GW yesterday and they emailed me thanking me for applying. Today, I get an email from them telling me that they're sending me a fee waiver.thejerseykid wrote:Hey, at least you got a fee waiver. i guess i'll give it a shot. nothing to lose (except my pride)
I could just hear the trololol-ing as I read the email. Still going to try and solicit a waiver from them but suddenly not feeling too optimistic about it.

This has happened to me more than I care to admit. Not sure on GW, but some schools will refund your application fee. Definitely worth the email/call.walket wrote: I applied to GW yesterday and they emailed me thanking me for applying. Today, I get an email from them telling me that they're sending me a fee waiver.

That's odd. I was at Rutgers too and I got my score on the 2nd. Then again, I did hear that there were some problems in one or more of the other buildings where they were testing so that might have caused some problems. I still don't get why they separated everyone into different buildings. Hope everything works out well for you.mydasmarie wrote:i am a rutgers december lsat tester who is still waiting for her score back....apparently a few got their scores but i haven't yet. to share my info, i spoke to LSAC today and they mentioned that our hold should be released by the very latest Thursday evening...thats a full week after everyone else's score! ugh.

Wait... -18 F is considered cold enough to close down businesses for the day? Oh wow, I need to move out of Canada ASAP. It was -65 F here the other day and everything ran as per normal. Geesh.uvandy wrote:Just speculating. It's -18 wind chill in Philly right now.

Finally received my score last night. Alot better than I was expecting on test day but probably not good enough. Will apply to a couple of schools and retake in the fall if they reject me.

Places that aren't used to such low temps run the risk of overtaxing the power grid and having blackouts. Closing businesses keeps the power usage somewhat controlled.Black_Mamba wrote:Wait... -18 F is considered cold enough to close down businesses for the day? Oh wow, I need to move out of Canada ASAP. -18 does not include the windchill. Show me link that says it was -65 anywhere in Canada where people live.

Re: Decembre 2013 Waiters
My mistake. When we refer to temperatures and follow it by 'with windchill' it generally means that the temperature stated has included the windchill. The -65 was including the windchill. --LinkRemoved--nothingtosee wrote:[citation needed]Black_Mamba wrote:Wait... -18 F is considered cold enough to close down businesses for the day?
