I am a dark, cynical, sarcastic person. I get snark. I get dark humor.

I don't really get being a straight up dick. For one thing, it's just not that funny.

Throughout my time on TLS I've been sporadically sassy but I've mostly tried to be positive and supportive. It's surprisingly fun to be that way.
Wouldn't expect any less salt from a pretzel.

Just kidding. I'm a literally-who, but I'd suggest you really not take it personally. Any ribbing you get isn't reflective of you as a human being, it's just reflective of the few symbols that you've conveyed through your keyboard (or, alternatively, a reflection of the people ribbing you). An important part of venturing into the internet is being able to tell the difference between the three.

I'm basing this analysis on a few things.

You're both non-waiters who have an overbearing presence in this thread, and seem to take pride in it.

You both use a tone that's condescending, not funny, and I think many would agree, does not evince a good faith effort to be congenial.

I identify you as the mentor because you have actually landed some jokes and tend to avoid being called out by everyone else in the thread for being a child like BLE. Plus you have almost double his posts - I have got to imagine BLE has some dad dick envy about that. You guys have a real similar style, you're just slightly more proficient.

Haha no, well done! We realized it way too late in the game and made a conscious decision to avoid the joke at that point.

What you don't understand is that there's a [usually] passive elitism that runs through a lot of your posting. You know it has to be bad when someone on top hyphen law hyphen school dot com tells you you're being elitist, but it was noticed and some people decided to have a bit of fun with you over it. If it doesn't bother you, as you've professed on a number of occasions, then I suggest you just let it sail by in the future.

Also, re: the bolded, congrats?
Literally no one did this ever, and even if that was a legitimate sentiment the appropriate response isn't coordinated bullying. And even if that were an appropriate response, it clearly wasn't that effective at achieving its desired aim, if you have to spell it out hundreds of posts and several days later. Like it's pretty clear to everyone involved that you're being a dick uniquely to pretzel and just because you've conjured up some post hoc reason doesn't mean it was ever okay/funny/entertaining

Also, re: the bolded, congrats?
First off, not looking for congrats on my personality. Just trying to put myself into context.

What have I said that has been more elitist than the average TLS poster?

As I recall, the thing that you initially took issue with is that I said people who speak latin gratuitously are dickholes. That drove yall nuts? That's elitist?

Oh also I said that I referred to people who are hoping for a 150 as "poor souls" today. Not even people aiming for 150s. People who actually want to get a flat 150. Is that considered elitist on TLS?

If I've come off as elitist did it ever occur to you to engage me on my blindspots sincerely rather than ruthlessly attacking me every time I say anything? I'm actually down to engage with criticism and self evaluate when it comes from a less monstrous place.

And do you think you're better than an elitist given the way you've behaved towards me? I may be an elitist but you've behaved like an unmitigated asshole

omg i'm so over this

a handful of people in here who are not even waiting for scores have PLOTTED to make fun of someone? are you serious?

the energy in here is so needlessly negative, even if it is supposed to be funny. i've posted a handful of things on this thread about random ass shit, mostly lsat related (because that's what we're here for, eh?) and i'm pretty sure i've been mocked for it every time by the same three people.

y'all have made me not want to post in here, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this way. i can absolutely take a joke, but the tone in here is condescending, and i think it's immature and sad tbh.

i support u, pretzel
