This thread has way too much activity so I wouldn't recommend you subscribe. That's probably 300+ emails a day.

Yeah, this. I mean, it's incredible that you've covered that much material, but it also indicates that there's probably something lacking in your depth of review.gamerish wrote:Are you sure you're reviewing properly and have done the requisite foundational work? Unless you've been studying for the test for two years I can't possible imagine how you've taken every single test 5 times with proper studying habits.Donashimen wrote:Also I have taken all 74 pretests. 71-74 I've only taken once or twice each but the rest of the pretests I've taken anywhere between 3-5 times each test. So I'm kind of out of material that I don't recognize as wellbut I'm just retaking sections now and figuring out my weaknesses and hopefully finding a way to fix them

Ann Arbor is an all around great city. Michigan's campus is beautiful, there's plenty of great food options, fun bars, shopping, and easy access to AMTRAK which is a fun way to visit Chicago or Detroit (probably not Detroit). I spent a lot of time there as a kid, so I have a fondness for the place.santoki wrote:im looking at the pictures on the law school visits thread...and by the gods...some schools are absolutely gorgeous.

Sorry I'm late but I just have to. These myths peeve me to no end. We need to stop believing paint-edited images on the internet people.peppermint wrote:Yep, this is true.RaiderRed wrote:I go for a morning workout on test day. Obviously not a heavy one, but science has shown that Excercise stimulates the brain and we are able to perform at a higher level afterward. at least that's what my Excercise sport science roommate tells me so I believe him
The following link discusses the original paper. There is no mention of 20 minute walks or written tests. It's about sustained exercise over time and its effect on the development of children.

A 20 minute walk may have therapeutic and placebo effects that help you perform better on the test, but there is no physiological transformation in the brain. Your brain does not ramp up to 60% CPU processing power because you walked for 20 minutes.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
This is the abstract from the original paper. I have to pay to read the full text, unfortunately, so I can't comment on his methodology or even his specific conclusion.
"An emerging body of multidisciplinary literature has documented the beneficial influence of physical activity engendered through aerobic exercise on selective aspects of brain function. Human and non-human animal studies have shown that aerobic exercise can improve a number of aspects of cognition and performance. Lack of physical activity, particularly among children in the developed world, is one of the major causes of obesity. Exercise might not only help to improve their physical health, but might also improve their academic performance. This article examines the positive effects of aerobic physical activity on cognition and brain function, at the molecular, cellular, systems and behavioural levels. A growing number of studies support the idea that physical exercise is a lifestyle factor that might lead to increased physical and mental health throughout life."
It sounds like he's saying sustained exercise results in general improvement in all aspects of your life. Which is like saying water is wet. But if you're sedentary your whole life, doing 10 pushups before a test isn't going to ramp your brain's processing power up like the Millennium Falcon hitting warp speed.
ETA - His study is also mainly centered on very young children.
