I go for a morning workout on test day. Obviously not a heavy one, but science has shown that Excercise stimulates the brain and we are able to perform at a higher level afterward. at least that's what my Excercise sport science roommate tells me so I believe himDonashimen wrote:JackelJ wrote:Maybe it's just me but when I pw I get self conscience and it has the opposite effect of helping with nervesPeanutsNJam wrote:@Donashimen

lol idk how a PW would help my nerves on game day, but the suggestion did make me laugh lol I agree more with probably getting more self conscience than anything lol

Mainly in LR sections I constantly get stuck between the two answers where both seem right...which Im sure its intended and a lot of ppl have this issue. Ive been keeping track and the major mistake is the not "going with your gut" but at the time you don't know if your gut is right! lol I know there are key words that you should look for and I have been doing that among other techniques. Do you guys have any advice or any insight in really getting good at recognizing the trend of finding the right answers? I know Im pretty close but I just don't feel like I've perfected my technique yet i guess.

I always ran at least 30 mins before PTs, and I ran ~5 miles on the morning of the test.

By the end of my prep, I was almost never stuck between 2 answers in LR. If your process is solid, and you've trained your instincts enough, you should be extremely efficient at eliminating 4 answers every time.
e: During review, you should be writing out detailed explanations for why every incorrect answer is wrong. Once you've done enough of those, the patterns will jump out at you.

I thought about doing that but the test is at 830 am and I live about 35-40 minutes away from the test site. September I woke up at 5am so i have time to eat and do some RC/LR sections to wake up my mind. idk how to squeeze a morning work out that morning though lol

Also I have taken all 74 pretests. 71-74 I've only taken once or twice each but the rest of the pretests I've taken anywhere between 3-5 times each test. So I'm kind of out of material that I don't recognize as well

^ I was just thinking this actually. There's also a form of meditation called walking meditation. I don't do it often but definitely worth looking into/trying it out for brain calming purposes if you're going to walk anyway!peppermint wrote:I think it's b/c walking is meditative in a way, but also good exercise, so it calms the mind & increases blood flow to the brain at the same time.Dirigo wrote:That's amazing that a simple 20 minute walk can do all that.
