you i think need to prep no more if these sections are representative.SweetTort wrote:Just did my 3 sections, -1 on each. Each Q I missed was like the only one left circled. I need to figure out how to choose the right answer when I'm down to the last 2 choices. I'm hitting between 25 and 30 minutes on each section, so I guess I should just use the remainder of the test to check the circled Q's.

RC is the only section that will fluctuate in performance. working on fixing that in an effort to get into the 175-177 range. read 60 pages of the BP RC book today and I'm loving it! it actually feels like an extension of the LSAT Trainer RC instead of being opposed to it.
I think we're in a pretty similar place right now - 174 avg on the last 5 as well, just reverse RC and LG in terms of weaknesses. We can make that consistent 175+. Just a few points away. We've got this.
retakes or fresh modern pts?

most of these are retakes from about a year ago, but they look completely foreign to me so I THINK they are representative of my actual skill. for example, I took PT 40, which was completely fresh, and scored a 171. and that was before I even finished the LR part of my prep, so I'm assuming these scores are representative, especially since they FEEL fresh to me.appind wrote:good stuff proteinAlexandros wrote:That's awesome!proteinshake wrote:last 5 PTs have been pretty stable, which I'm happy about:

I think forum_user from the June thread was also using retakes and still scored around his PT average on the actual test (which was very high), so that makes me feel better lol.
I guess I'll find out 100% when I take PT 78

yep, i am also eagerly looking forward to taking the june test, i think it's out already. i have few fresh tests left, so it'd provide very useful diagnostics.
any other total fresh ones left for you than 78?

56, 60, 67, 68. when I studied for this last time, I never reviewed my tests, just scored it and moved on. I think that's why I don't remember them hehe.appind wrote:i guess forum_user isn't retaking then, nice.proteinshake wrote:most of these are retakes from about a year ago, but they look completely foreign to me so I THINK they are representative of my actual skill. for example, I took PT 40, which was completely fresh, and scored a 171. and that was before I even finished the LR part of my prep, so I'm assuming these scores are representative, especially since they FEEL fresh to me.appind wrote:good stuff proteinAlexandros wrote:That's awesome!proteinshake wrote:last 5 PTs have been pretty stable, which I'm happy about:

edit: oh and PT C2. according to 7Sage this is the Jan/Feb exam of this year and is available in the Superprep II book. I should probably get that!

Question: Are Argument Part questions the same as Method (Argument) and the Method of Reasoning questions the same as Method (Statement)?
I printed both sets, but I'm just trying to see which question set I will be drilling with the Argument Part lesson.

Took a day off yesterday, just drilled something like 20 grouping/misc games since this morning, going for a run now, then coming back for more.

On 15 minute break from PT 60. Not feeling too good about those 2 LR sections, ugh

Thank you both! That answer makes a lot more sense now.Pozzo wrote:62.2.23 62.2.15 - yeah, weird afappind wrote:I think 62.2.23 is an airtight q. Eta: and the last four questions of 22.2 are pretty brutal imo. My doc of weird LR qs is expanding...
Since pesticide isn't being used for its intended purpose when children ingest it and we don't know if pesticide is shown not to harm population, C will give us that the practice is unacceptable.
Yeah, I was expecting the answer for 15 to be some kind of necessary/sufficient thing, and the "she has insight" answer a trap. Had to check that one a couple times.

Did 6 games (0) and 4 passages (-2) this morning. Going to print out a bunch of drilling material after work.
Plan for prep from now on: quality over quantity, more PTs and less drilling, putting health first, and avoiding burn-out.

PT 60
Score: 159
LR: -7
LG: -5
LR: -9
RC: -7
I wasn't too confident with the LRs, and I thought the 2nd LR was a lot harder due to tricky/tempting answer choices. RC I didn't get to finish the comparative passage so I basically guessed on 3 of the 5 questions, although I'm not sure if I got them right or not since I didn't check. LG is surprising, I thought it went flawlessly but apparently not.
Welp, there's my PT 60 score. Will be BRing on Thursday.

I took PT 60 yesterday and thought LG was a little weird too... in fact, LG has seemed to gotten harder/weirder since PT 55. Prior to 55 I almost always went -0 or -1 on LG, but now I average about -2. Anyone else had this happen? (I will say though, it helps that the curves have gotten a little less strict since PT 56)TheMikey wrote:PT 60

I usually go -0 and -1 on LG as well, but this -5 was so weird to me. I think it was across all games, not in 1 specific game but I will have to see. Game 3 was a little weird but once you understand it, it's pretty simple.MAPP wrote:I took PT 60 yesterday and thought LG was a little weird too... in fact, LG has seemed to gotten harder/weirder since PT 55. 58/60 of these two question stimulus. It's a kind of nice refresher (and I may save some of the harder one) as it is mixed question types.
