This was by far the most difficult challenge I had to overcome. I've always had really severe testing anxiety. On the Friday before December, I was so nervous that I almost withdrew. It was absolute hell. But on test day, all of those nerves went away, and I was totally in the zone. I had done the LSAT so many times that it felt just like any other Saturday.Donashimen wrote:Im going to assume a lot of ppl here have test anxiety on test day. lol what do you guys do? I've been even thinking of picking up meditation at this point. I am quite desperate lol
Honestly, I think the most effective way to mitigate the effects of anxiety is to be extremely well prepared. Know that there's probably no way to perform at your absolute best on test day, just because of the pressure that you will inevitably feel. But study hard enough that everything about the test is totally automatic. If you feel 100% confident in your skill level, then the nerves won't matter.
e: This may not be what you want to hear, but I think people with testing anxiety need to study significantly harder for the same score as people who aren't affected by nerves.
