I have a ridiculous cowlick that takes up the entire front right side of hairline that makes any of the usual hairstyles for thick hair impossible to manage.

I'm over it enough that I'm seriously considering getting it straightened out with whatever voodoo my sister used to get her hair straightened because it is such a pain in the ass.

Do you have thick, coarse, curly hair? You can get a reverse-perm. Or just straighten it for cheapies.

ETA: I only know a lot about hair because my dad used to be a hair stylist. I do nothing with my hair. My hair is b0rang.

I don't know about coarse, it's pretty soft. But it is super, super thick (pretty much everyone who's ever cut my hair has commented on it) and somewhere between wavy and curly.

You really should PW without a hat. It'll give me a better idea of what you're talking about.

I'm leaning towards 1 because I have a long face, and generally it's not wise to add more length via hair. 3 is just straight up, that's basically the length of my hair now, if I gel'd it and got a mini-trim I'd look like that.

I like the 1st and the 3rd, but if you go with the 1st one, make sure you go to a great hairstylist or else they'll end up making you look like Donald Trump w/ the combover, haha

So speaking of hairstylists, cool story. I part-time bartend in a speakeasy, and one of our regulars, Terry, is a barber. He's this completely tatted up swiss dude (I mean completely), and wears 3 different colognes at a time. The kicker is he's one of the most popular barbers in Shanghai, and cuts hair for NBA players when they visit Asia. He has pics with Kobe, Wade, Tmac, and a bunch of other players as well. Autographed balls, yada yada. Great stories, he's a pretty funny guy.

Anyway he said he could cut my hair but he's expensive so I want to go in knowing what I want. I have faith that he can do whatever I want him to as long as my hair is willing, but I just needa be sure.

I meant that my current hair, if styled and then cut a little bit for shape, would look like #3. I'd need to grow it out a bit more for 1 and 2. 1 and 2 are similar, but 2 is a little too tall (like I said I have a longer face).

I get this ALL the time. It's hilarious watching their facial expressions when they're cutting it
