Why I love the June test: more hours of error allowed when trying to somehow fall asleep.
Good luck tomorrow!

Have my printed ticket (unsigned, passport pic taped), military id, drivers license, banana, graham crackers, watch, Ticonderoga pencils, pencils sharpener, and a water bottle. Did I forget anything?

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
Thanks for the advice, my friend.Wormfather wrote:Good luck tomorrow. Here's my advice as a 3x test taker (ended up scoring a 170, first test was a 158).
1. You're going to wake up in the middle of the night tonight thinking that you've overslept. Sorry, you'll just have to deal with it.
2. Relax, at the test tomorrow you are going to actually put your head down and go into the tank. The distractions you're afraid of will in all likelihood never materialize.
3. For the games section, you're going to come across a game that's going to throw you off for a second. Whatever you do DON'T STOP MOVING YOUR PENCIL! If you do you will lose a minute or two "thinking".
4. During the break, dont talk to anyone, if they have cookies or some other shitty food, dont eat it. You're there for a purpose, this shit is business.
5. Dont change anything from your practice habits, tomorrow is not the time to try new shit out.
6. At the very beginning of the writing section, take a breath and write down (and then erase of course) what you think your best and worst case scenario is for each section on the test. Memorize this and write it down the second you leave the test. This moment will be the last time you'll be able to realistically gauge your performance and having that info on hand will prove invaluable during the hellish awaits you.
GOOD LUCK CLASS OF 2017!!!! (and go to sleep)

People who have taken before, how long does it usually take including everything? 5 hours?

It'll last me a good 2-3 hours, hence the 2nd round of Amino EnergyWord1 wrote:You don't find that the amino energy lets you down hard after about two hours?MKX wrote:I'm taking 3 scoops of Amino energy about 45 mins before the test (so I still have time to pee). And then 2 scoops of amino energy during the break. Should be good.

We only need one form of ID right?okaygo wrote:Have my printed ticket (unsigned, passport pic taped), military id, drivers license, banana, graham crackers, watch, Ticonderoga pencils, pencils sharpener, and a water bottle. Did I forget anything?
Also, I'm taking the alcohol approach to help me sleep.

Good luck everyone! The key is to just do your thing and don't make problems out of non problems tomorrow. There is going to be something wrong with your test room (too cold/hot, annoying proctor, etc) so recognize this going in and be flexible and just go to work. Do what you have been doing throughout all of your prep.
Lastly, don't underestimate the power of mindset and positive thinking.
