Summer studying is an enormous "pro" to October. I'm so looking forward to this summer: internship, some random job a couple days per week, and plenty of time to do whatever I want.

Id rather have the month between finals and the June take than two months of summer study and then another two months of studying while trying to actually work or do schoolRZ5646 wrote:Summer studying is an enormous "pro" to October. I know I've said this before but I'm so jealous of those people who take time off to study for the LSAT and have no other responsibilities. That's LSATing on easy mode.

Doing that right now to some extent (part-time job but it's for my family). This is my first year out of college and am pretty glad I have some time to live life for a bit.RZ5646 wrote:I know I've said this before but I'm so jealous of those people who take time off to study for the LSAT and have no other responsibilities. The benefit of studying whilst working is free access to professional class printers, copiers, and scanners.

Do it. Hopefully you'll be more chill in the summer too.RZ5646 wrote:Summer studying is an enormous "pro" to October. I'm so looking forward to this summer: internship, some random job a couple days per week, and plenty of time to do whatever I want.

There are obviously a lot of upsides to it. There are downsides too. Like not getting a pay check.RZ5646 wrote:I know I've said this before but I'm so jealous of those people who take time off to study for the LSAT and have no other responsibilities. That's LSATing on easy mode.
ETA: Also the near paralyzing anxiety for me of not having a job is awful. I've had at least one job (and usually two jobs) since I was 16. I haven't worked less than 50 or 60 hrs since I was 20. So it's unsettling to say the least.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Idk, I've studied during different periods of my life. While I was at school, it was hard to study, so I really respect the K-JDs who are studying and balancing school life. For me, I ultimately decided that focusing on my GPA and my senior thesis outweighed taking the LSAT (because why rush that?). After graduation, I started up again, while unemployed, and it was really nice to have that free time to just focus on the LOLSAT. For me, it was hard to find that balance though - I found that I wasn't using my time as efficiently as I could have been because I was operating under the mentality of "Well, I'll have more time tomorrow because I don't have any commitments." I've enjoyed studying while balancing a FT job. I am one of those people that does really well when I'm stressed out (unclear why my brain freaks out during test day, though - SIGH) and have a rigid schedule. Having a job made me have a routine that I was missing because I'm awful at scheduling when I have so much time to twiddle my thumbs. It depends on the job, of course, but I've enjoyed the balance so far. It also allows you to have your brain in a different space for some of the day, instead of just exclusively on the LOLSAT.tapenade wrote:Same here! I resigned to focus on the LSAT and take my time with new job applications. Two months out and I haven't really been able to study or find decent work. So close to just taking the test and heading to my state flagship, this sucksTheWalkingDebt wrote:There are obviously a lot of upsides to it. There are downsides too. The return of Gandoki was glorious. I was glad to be there.santoki wrote:Legoler Red: The Walking Debtagorn, something is out there!
The Walking Debtagorn: What do you see?
Legoler Red: A White Rabbit approaches.
The Walking Debtagorn: Do not let him speak, he will put a spell on us. We must be quick
[With a yell, the three companions swing around to attack. Gimligo's axe, Legoler Red's arrows are deflected, and The Walking Debtagorn drops his sword as it becomes red hot in his grasp. They shield their eyes from the bright light emanating from the White Rabbit.]
The Walking Debtagorn: Who are you? Show yourself!
[The bright light dims, revealing Gandoki, all dressed in white. The three are astounded.]
The Walking Debtagorn: It cannot be. You fell. You were banned.
Gandoki: Through fire and water. 72 hours. From the lowest dungeon to the highest peak, I fought with the GreenTeerog of Morgoth, until at last, I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountainside. Darkness took me, and I was banned out of thought and out of time. But it was not my end. I have been sent back until my task is done.
Gimligo: Gandoki!
Gandoki: [With a twinkle in his eye] Yes, I am Gandoki the White. [The Walking Debtagorn grins] And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide. The eye of Sauron5646 will gleam no longer.

Here is a little something I wrote about the June LSAT, no idea if it is helpful, but the quote at the top I think is true.

Took Friday and Saturday and Sunday off from studying so that I could play in a Magic tournament (lol). Came back to studying today and WOW did I do terrible on my first section back. Gotta shrug this off and keep going.
