Currently watching the Fiancee eat peanut butter fudge core. Very jealous.schmelling wrote:you can all try to convince me that there is a better Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor than phish food, but I promise you will fail.

I hadn't done it ever until I got this book, http://www.amazon.com/Mac-Cheese-Cookbo ... and+cheese . It changed everything. I love being able to put whatever cheeses I want in that.peppermint wrote:I've never made mac and cheese from scratchCambrianExplosives wrote:That does sound good, but its one of those convenience versus taste kind of things. Like I make a really good homemade Mac & Cheese. I even make a bechamel sauce for the base. But a store bought one is soooo much easier.peppermint wrote:You know what's awesome? Homemade poptarts! One of my roomies makes them & they're delish. She made blueberry ginger ones a few weeks ago that were so freaking amazing.I only eat the store kind cuz I'm lazy af.

It reminds me of the time when Jackie Moon's dead mom invented the Ally Oop.schmelling wrote: It's like the forward pass in football, the slam dunk in basketball, the technique in hair cutting where you put the hair between two fingers and you cut from the top - It's a total game changer!

I can't remember the specific one, but it used Vermont cheddar, which is the best cheddar in the world. What I really love about that book though is once you have the basic ideas down you can sub in any cheese into the recipe. Its always approx. 2 cups of cheese per recipe.peppermint wrote: OMG, I have that book (my nerdy hobby is collecting cookbooks)! I just haven't made anything out of it yet. What's your fave recipe?

TBH I was one of the people who didn't know that the Feb exam is undisclosed
now I feel like such a noob, and this was my second time taking a test
But why does it matter? Honestly, I'm happy with a good score without getting all neurotic about which ones I got wrong. At least I didn't go into the test freaking out

It's one of those things that just sounds so weird, but when you try it you find out it's great!peppermint wrote:Awesome, I'll try one of the recipes tomorrow & let you know how it goesCambrianExplosives wrote:I can't remember the specific one, but it used Vermont cheddar, which is the best cheddar in the world. I would cry tears of joy because my goal was 85 correct answers and then let the curve do whatever it does.Sofie4400 wrote:http://www.cambridgelsat.com/resources/ ... on-charts/

What did you end up putting on it BTW? I've heard of people having it so many different ways. As I said before, I personally think onions 100% necessary, but not always sufficient.peppermint wrote:Exactly! I was with a coworker & she was like, "Eh, I think I'll pass. That just sounds odd..." but then I convinced her to try it with me & now we're both huge fansCambrianExplosives wrote:And it shouldn't be, should it?
