Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
I have a few quick questions:
1. I know the proctor will call 5 minutes. Will they call 1 minute? 30, 15, or 10 seconds? Or will it just be "time" whenever they call it? I'll have a watch of course, but it probably won't match the official timer exactly because of the kind of watch. If there's no warning a few seconds prior, what's the best way to handle the last few questions?
2. Can my "passport" picture be printed on normal printing paper?
3. I've taken it pretty easy this past week. Just doing enough to stay sharp. It's a little late now, but how bad/good of a decision do you think that was?

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
There is only a warning for the last 5 min. After that it is up to you to gauge and to handle your time. It would be pretty cool if they game a 1 min warning though. I personally don't start bubbling until the 5 min warning so i bubble in and then if I have any questions left i do them. If i think it is going to be close i put a bubble in just in case i don't get to it.AT9 wrote:I have a few quick questions:

My damn roommate watching Arrested Development in the living room on full volume. That's okay. If I can get a 170 in these conditions, I can get a 170 in any conditions.

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
I just got home after a miserable day at the library. Miserable in the sense that I got nothing done. Not even opened a page of a book to review. I went in, fell asleep on the couches, then woke up and decided i can do everything I need to do at home. So, I'm home now and hopefully i get my shit together, but I dont want to burn out, either. All i need to do is read a chapter in a prep book and review a previous PT, so nothing too draining. I think ill be alright after i get some food in me.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Too bad they don't give a "finish bubbling now" warning. My strategy will be the same as yours (fill in everything when it gets close) given the circumstances.The-Specs wrote:There is only a warning for the last 5 min. Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
Just took PT67 for the first time:
RC -3 (one from each of three passages, including !Kung, which I didn't find too difficult)
LR1 -0
LG -0
LR2 -2
Raw: 95 --> Scaled 176
One of the LR questions I missed was a very close call, but ended up picking the wrong answer. Last LR question I missed was #5 on LR2 (last Q of the whole test); just misunderstood it. Didn't find the zones game too bad, just a little time consuming with hypos. Overall pretty happy and feeling ready for Monday. Planning to take PT 68 tomorrow around the same time as test (1pm) and then relax the rest of the day. Average over last five tests (PT 62, 63, 64, 65, 67) according to lsatQA is 175.2, which is pretty much exactly where I want to be.

Ready for this test. I watched Legally Blonde last night and when I stepped on my scale this morning, I weighed 180. Here we go.

Bros, I am back. I was temporarily self-banned while I did major work. After much pain, anguish, and changing of #2 pencils, I have arrived. I am ready to destroy PT 69.

I'm back, been away awhile! I took two weeks off from studying, and finally got that ever elusive +170 (171) today! Hopefully that's a sign of things to come, good luck on Monday guys.

I just wanted to pop in and tell everyone good luck. At this point you've prepared any way that you can, so let all of that work by not stressing too much and psyching yourself out when you sit down on Monday. Good luck!

171 on on PT68 today, had to take an emergency bathroom break in between section 3 but I'm hoping and praying that won't happen on test day. Anyways, score is in line with what I'm expecting Monday and with previous PTs and I feel good going into Monday.
Good luck everyone.

Anybody else considering splurging on a massage tomorrow? I've gotten a massage literally once in my life.
I wouldn't - if you're not used to it, massages can hurt like mad and make all your muscles tense up. Wait till tuesday.

Did PT 64 today:
LR: -0
LG: -1
LR: -0
RC: -3
97/178
Damn that felt good to crush a PT. Especially my last one going into game day. I'll probably just be drilling LG tomorrow and walk through a section each of LR and RC.
Let's get this one, guys!
Also, I'm gonna be sure to look at some of the funkier games- zones, some circle games, etc... Theses aren't necessarily that tough, but can throw you of if you're not used to them. I saw a circle game in a section that turned out to be an experimental in Oct 2011. I don't know if that means it's likely one will pop up soon, but I sure don't want to panic and lose confidence if it does.

Ouch, worst PT in my past 15 tests.
170 - 90/100
LR: -3
RC: -5
LR: -1
LG: -1
I'll review tonight, but I don't think there's much that can be done at this point to address anything.

I redid PT 51 which was one of the first PTs I took this cycle back in February. -3, 179. Doesn't mean much of course, but it felt good.
Gonna do the zones game, some flaw drilling, and then call it a night. Might not even look at LSAT stuff until Monday morning after that.

PT 68:
RC: -6
LR1: -0
LR2: -6
LG: -0
Raw: 89
Scaled: 170
Bah. Just fucking bah. Got the first 44 right in LR, then got 6 of the last 7 wrong. Made a few stupid errors in RC, as well.

Just crashed and burned in my LG drilling. Blah. I don't know whether I should do more work on that tomorrow, or work on my lovely LR Section.

Did half of 64 and went -1 on LG and -4 on RC. Stupid mistake on stained glass. Doing some LR drilling tonight and maybe another LG section. Playing it by ear tomorrow; only thing for certain is a solid workout.
