this is a q for anyone
I haven't done PT's in awhile, but when I do them it's usually at the library. So, minimal noise except the rustling of papers, labtops etc. However, if it's the weekend, the local library has all these children and their parents running around and chatting away.. So, I'm thinking for the weekends when I take PT's, I might look for a university library to get the proper experience.

I read the comments from the LG I was having trouble on (because of my timing and JY's complicated set up), so some of the posters said they wrote out four scenarios for this game, it's the one where there are three dances and a girl is paired up with a boy and there are literally 2 rules.

Anyhow, I tried it out today doing all four scenarios/mastering the possibilities/whatever you want to call it. I got -0 in 5 minutes. BOOM!

So my plan for today is go through the videos for the four remaining games, drill them, do the next chapter that is related to the LG lesson, drill that, and hit up LR if there is time!
IIRC, the trick with that game is ...
[+] Spoiler
it forms some weird zigzag where basically you can represent every single scenario in one diagram by just using shapes or something
Super tired. I was up fairly late / couldn't sleep, so I watched Straight Outta Compton (wow the text processor actually *recommended* outta over out of)

Yeah, I think I got a perfect score the first time around by doing a bunch of hypotheticals, but it took up way too much time 8-9 minutes. I watched the video and found it really confusing, so I prefer the writing out the possibilities!

I also wasted my morning by watching all the Olympics videos on snapchat lol

The opening ceremony looked awesome, I wish I could have been there, oh well.

Eh... Rio is beautiful, but I have no desire to go there until they get their stuff together. The Olympics really should only be held in areas that can actually absorb and benefit from the infrastructure / the IOC and the developers involved should require a lot more oversight.

Oif...there is a cappuccino vending machine in this library, but it only takes dollars. Problems. Damned credit card vending machines have me spoiled. :( need energy.

I was going 50 in a 35 without realizing and passed a cop. he flashed his lights but luckily he was doing something unrelated to pulling someone over hehe

Holy mother, so out of it today. Glad I decided to take some time off and let this thing run its course - Hopefully this'll get it out of my system completely.

Jeez, PT 39 LG game 2 is kind of a tough one.. Just did the LG set and initially skipped game 2 because i had no freaking clue what i was doing. Came back to it, and my setup seemed ok so I went with it but ran out of time and only got to do 2 questions from this game, which I actually got correct. So I went -4 on this LG set, all from this 1 game. I did it untimed afterwards, it still took me some time but I ended up doing it.

I didn't even bother "randomly guessing" because even if i got all of the 4 guesses right, it still wouldn't have be representative of my actual score, prep wise.

Back into the swing of things

PT 69
LR: -0
LG: -0
RC: -4
LR: -2

Raw score: 94
175

Still having the most problems on RC. But I think saying to myself what each paragraph is about in my head is helping.

Began with a diagnostic of 145 two months ago. Got consistantly around 155 last month. Today I took a 5 section diagnostic...

PT 63
LR1: -5
LG: -4 (all from same game - time crunch)
LR2: -9 (missed 8 of last 9)
RC -14 (idk - this was he 5th section, maybe that has something to do with it)

Raw: 69/101
157

RC has always been my worst section and I'd like to see it drastically lower. Does anyone have some advice for a slow reading brother????

Making moves dude. Keep at it. Seems like timing is your issue. Practice will help!

Yeah I just read an article about the extra precautions all the athletes are going through because of the water contamination, it sounds horrible. I hope none of them get infections or viruses etc.

Still, it would have been awesome to experience that. I do agree with you regarding oversight and being able to contribute in a meaningful way.

So, I'm still drilling LG, and I noticed the preptests A, B, C in the list of games explanations, I was wondering do you guys think it's important to go through the LG from the Superpreps, and for those of you that have the Cambridge 1-38 Volumes 1 and 2 in pdf, are the superprep games included in that?

I'm just curious as to whether it's worth it to get my hands on the Superpreps or just focus on the material I already have.

It's not necessary. Your only talking about 3 sections of games in those Superpreps, old games too.
