Also, where are you score-wise? You really shouldn't dismiss The Trainer so quickly if you don't have the fundamentals down. It really helps you think more intuitively about the questions and is a great foundation.

It's hard to advise you to take PT's if we don't know how well you're grasping the fundamentals. I would say after you finish Manhattan LR at the earliest, though.

This feels really random. What gives you the sense that tons of people are lying about their scores? Who are these people? And what would be the point?

+1 to what Rigo said. No way to really offer advice if all we know about you is that you didn't like the early parts of The Trainer and are working through MLSAT ...

Agreed. I'm sure some people exaggerate, but I don't think it's a widespread problem. For a beginner the LSAT may seem impossible, but in reality the LSAT just isn't that hard. Here's the formula for getting 170+ scores:

1. Don't be stupid.
2. Study hard.

If you can do those two things, you'll get high scores, even if in the beginning it seems like it's impossible and everyone else is lying about doing well.

Random: Rigo, you have a very long face. You remind me of Mitt Romney.

Official score is potentially identifying information, especially if I end up doing well. PTs and drills are not; I don't lie about them.

It's just one factor. No one gets ID'd from a single piece of information... it's a net that gradually tightens around them as they reveal seemingly innocuous details.

yeah I think you put a little too much belief in adcoms setting up TLS profiles to match with the thousands of applicants they get....

also (besides me) we're not all special snowflakes... and if theres something that truly makes you stand way out of the crowd... I doubt that would be "seemingly innocuous details" (I can use big words too! just ignore the fact that its the same one you used)
