Kids are funny, and embarrassing sometimes, lol... the funny thing is I feel like we could be eating healthier than we are now, but I guess I'm always classifying foods, so he knows...I have this one friend who I was watching her toddler and after the bathroom, I went to wash his hands, and he said, "Is that soap organic?" When I said no, he tried to refuse to wash his hands...lolpeppermint wrote: Haha, your son reminds me of my niece. My fam eats super healthy but I have a sweet tooth. When I put a bag of twizzlers into my cart once, my niece was like, "ooooh, you're gonna get cavities and obesity...." while shaking her finger at me. It was hilarious.

PT 57 (Mauve Dinos and Fractals)
175
LG -0
LR 1 -0
LR 2 -1
RC -5
The LG isn't super representative because I remembered the odyssey rule for the mauve dinos game (solve for the possible combinations of mauve), that makes it super easy. That fourth game is still challenging though.
LR 1 was my first LR passage in a while and it showed with my timing. It literally took me to the last second to finish this section, I spent an abnormally long time on the first 15 (purposely) and got the 5-minute warning on question 21. But the last few questions weren't too hard or time consuming, no parallel reasoning or flaw for example.
LR 2 I sped back up on the first 15. IDK if thats why I missed question 14 I have to review. I skipped 20 (parallel flaw) and had about 7 mins left after 25. Went back to the first 15 and then when I hit 5 mins I went to question 20, nailed it.
I've spent almost all my time lately on RC. I don't love -5 here, but those last two passages were not easy. Passage B of 3 and those last 2 questions of passage 4 had me shaking my head. Perfect on the first two passages though.
EDIT: Actually question 14 on LR 2 was a transfer from scantron to 7sage error so it's actually a 175.
always takes me a sec to realize who you are with that tar...

Logic Game #3 of PT 40... why do you exist?
I got -0 on the LG from PT40! But finished it all in 38m41
. I'm getting there, I guess.
I have a question for all the people who have improved on LG: how do I improve on the simple LGs? (for example, simple ordering game). They seem easy to me while I solve them but I'd like to cut off a few minutes because now it's taking me about the same time as solving harder, more complex games. Watching the 7sage videos for these seem like a waste of time =\.
ETA:
MC! That's fantastic! That dinosaur game is still killer. I did it after having already encountered it and it's still a headache.

Guyssss. I keep having really bad dreams.
One of them was that Colonel was in a secret relationship. And that he was smaller.
The other was me ordering some meats from KFC and the cashier telling me 5 other places in town to get chicken. WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT???

Are you eliminating all the wrong answers or choosing the correct one when you find it and moving on? When you improve on your LG and are confident in the time you take to setup the game and figure out inferences, you should be rolling through the questions quickly.WorldsCollide wrote:Logic Game #3 of PT 40... why do you exist?

For example, a question that you have to brute force and the first one you try works, then you pick it and move on. Since you are watching the 7sage videos, also notice when you encounter a question with a new rule and you make an inference based off that. Say it's a MBT question which at times will reward you with that inference and it will be an answer choice. It may not be necessary to fill out the entire ordering for that question and waste your time (say you are told 'A' is #1 and you infer that pushes 'B' to #2 position - don't bother figuring out where the other 5 game pieces fall into place unless you skim the answers and B=2 isn't there).
Without knowing your process, it's possible these small things will shave minutes off your time. Though, I'm not sure exactly where your time is being spent.

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Honestly, I don't think watching any of JY's vids is a waste of time. Sometimes for the easier games, there's a minor inference that maybe would have shaved a minute off, and JY points it out. Otherwise, I think a struggle with easier games, at least for me, is that I try to be thorough with it when I should be trusting my gut answer and not checking the rest of them. Just bubble and move on, come back to it later if you have time.WorldsCollide wrote:Logic Game #3 of PT 40... why do you exist?
