I'm not really a Mac fan, and some of these laptops hves overall better specs for a lower price. Plus it still looks nice, though not as trendy.Smallville wrote:get a macpoptart123 wrote:So I've been pre-LS laptop shopping. I really like the ASUS Zenbook 501 series. Yes I've had one for 3 years now. zenbook pro ux501 right? It's pretty solid. Only problems I've had so far is that the fan is mediocre, and it gets really hot, and that the charging port gets kind of loose (which is a problem I've had for my last 3 zenbooks.)poptart123 wrote:So I've been pre-LS laptop shopping. I've never had a mac but I'm grabbing one for LS just because 99% of students use them and there's going to be more community support. I still have my desktop pc for home computing, but my in-class machine is going to be a mac.poptart123 wrote:I'm not really a Mac fan, and some of these laptops hves overall better specs for a lower price. ASUS are usually pretty decently built machines. I'd prefer lenovos over them though.poptart123 wrote:So I've been pre-LS laptop shopping. I really like the ASUS Zenbook 501 series. I had one of those fun hyperrealistic dreams this morning where I was convinced that I had gotten the email with my score and then realized upon actually waking up that that wasn't the case. Such a letdown.

Just an fyi, but I am becoming more confident that there likely won't be a "heads up" from anyone on score releases. So my best guess is you guys will know first this round, although I can't know this for certain.

I've wanted a macbook for a long time just for video editing, but I've never had an excuse haha. This will join my apple family of my ipod shuffle, ipod classic, iphone, and ipad mini.Smallville wrote:copy catBirdLawExpert wrote: I've never had a mac but I'm grabbing one for LS just because 99% of students use them and there's going to be more community support.
