Re: DECEMBER 2014 WAITERS
I remember the 3rd LR having 26 questions. I hope that was the real one since I actually finished through that compared to the 2nd lr which I had to guess the last one.

Ya second one was definitely experimental. Which sucks, cuz I felt like I did better on that than the first LRDirigo wrote:That one was real.Bigfish41 wrote:My third LR had the question about the doves and orchardscavalier2015 wrote:haha looks like that doesnt help us figure out which one was the LR. how are people being so confident it was the third LR?Bigfish41 wrote:I had three LRs LR LG LR RC LR
I'm thinking your second one was the experimental because that's the same position my experimental RC was in. I was LR LG RC RC LR.

Retake until 180?Bigfish41 wrote:Why not sit out this cycle and retake either Feb/June, you even said that you're capable of doing better. I mean how set were you on YHS?Kezaron wrote:I'm mostly a lurker, but I had to vent some frustration... I totally bombed the LG with the campus photographers. With six questions left, I pretty much guessed on 3 and said C for the last 3, so I'm assuming that's -6 right there... I also had a rough time on LR2 after coming back from the break. I had a 170 back in September and was retaking in hopes of getting a 172 or better, but now I'm hoping to just not do substantially much worse. I have gotten above a 175 on practice tests recently, so I may have done well on the remaining sections. Thus I don't want to cancel, but I know I'm capable then doing better than I did. ARGH! I was hoping for YHS, but that's probably out of the question now.So frustrated right now.
Bad jokes. I feel your pain but it sounds like we're all in the same boat. Clarification question: if everyone bombs the test, do they bump the curve, or is it set before the test even occurs?

I only had two sections of LR, and while I can't tell you which questions I had for which section because they all tend to blur in my mind, I did have question on:Bigfish41 wrote:My third LR had the question about the doves and orchardscavalier2015 wrote:haha looks like that doesnt help us figure out which one was the LR. how are people being so confident it was the third LR?Bigfish41 wrote:I had three LRs LR LG LR RC LR

Re: DECEMBER 2014 WAITERS
Been lurking for a little while, figured I'd post/vent.
I took the test initially about a week after my honeymoon in September, having followed the Kaplan course pretty strictly. Was disappointed with a 158 so opted to retake (did get me into local safeties). I tossed a lot of the "Kaplan Method" and was able to improve my average practice test scores over 10 points to land in the 171-174 range pretty consistently. I am guessing I am sitting somewhere in the 168-172 range on this test. I guessed the 158 perfectly after I walked out of that last test so in a few weeks I'll know how close I was on this guesstimate.
The only section I feel I did worse than I could have was Logic Games. I think I dropped 0 on the easy LR, and maybe 2-4 on the harder one. I am not great at "calling" RC, but usually if I feel I did well, like I did on this one, I am in the -2 to -4 range. I have been consistently -0 on LGs recently. I think for the first 2 games I was -0, and -3-6 total on the last 2 which really sucks. I missed a little detail in the prompt for the last one and noticed it with not much time to spare which MAY have cost me a point or two. On the experimental I know I got it 100% right... which means nothing.
I am really counting on my LSAT score as my GPA is a 3.2 (in bio) and I am counting on being a splitter, with UVA and Penn as my reaches.

Ok thanks I'm relieved. I spoke with my friend who presumably had the same LG section (it was her only LG) but said it had 24 questions. I was so worried I missed a question and/or completely mis-bubbled my answers!!

Re: DECEMBER 2014 WAITERS
Well, I was hoping to get a Ph.D./J.D. concurrently, and I've already sent out Ph.D. applications, so I am somewhat committed to this cycle. Plus, as of right now I don't know if I'll have a job next year, since I'm on a one year term of service for AmeriCorps. I'd like to have YHS as an option, but I could also see myself doing well at CCN, Berkeley or Michigan. Obviously though YHS have the advantage when it comes to law faculty placements. What happens if you apply to a school and then reapply a few years later?Bigfish41 wrote:Why not sit out this cycle and retake either Feb/June, you even said that you're capable of doing better.
