What the **** is up with PT 55? Forum

I just took this one and ended up with a 161 which is a tie for my worst PT score. I was blaming it on having cramps until reading this. Now I have 2 excuses so I feel even better

LR -7 combined which is my average
LG -3 ( avg. is -2) but I got lucky and guessed D correctly on 2 of those bus questions)
RC -10 (my avg. is -6)

Don't stress about the reading comp it was tougher than usual. I was dumbfounded though when I scored exactly the same on RC on this test as my avg of -5. Felt lucky, but still bombed LR which I'm usually good at

Just took this test less than an hour ago. Normally in the PTs in the 50s I usually get like -6 to -8 as opposed to -0 to -3 in the older RCs. Much to my delight I got a -3 on the entire RC section (2 wrong on China talk..but got the thread one right). Aced the logic games...I think I have gotten like 2 or 3 wrong total in those sections in my first five modern PTs. I must agree about the diabolical curve. Got only 10 wrong for a 169 total....I am shooting for 170 or higher but I would still be pleased as punch with that score considering I got a 161 the first time around.

I took PT 55 yesterday. I actually ended up doing pretty well, in line with my average, but I thought it was hellishly difficult. I was down to the wire on LR 1 - I usually finish LR with 10 or so minutes to double check, etc, but it had me sweating and I didn't stop til the test was over. I was completely surprised by my score, thought I'd missed a lot more than I did. I also thought the curve was also brutal for a test this ridiculously difficult.

What a terrible test. My average is 177. I just took this yesterday and got a 169. Every section sucked.

Took this test yesterday. LR-1, RC-2, LR-0, LG-1 for a 177. Second best raw score ever. I do agree that the first LR section was atypically hard, and the bus game was murder. Missed the stupid author attitude question on the talk-story passage.

The entire test kept me feeling rushed, which I hate.

The Reading Comp was pretty hard on that section.
I only got -3 on it but I usually do way better.
Final score 171.
