I haven't yet, but I will definitely give it a go! At this point, I'll try just about anything to improve.90convoy wrote:CarolinaDreamer wrote:Checking in! I need to get my LR numbers up, badly. I went -4 LG, -6 RC, and -8, -9 LR (embarrassing!!), hoping for a 165+ to get into regionals.
I've done most of the Trainer, but it didn't seem to help get my LR score up much (154 cold diagnostic, 160 june), with the most improvement in LG. Any advice on the best material for people who just don't "get" LR? PS Bible? I feel like I understand it, but I don't have a reasoning behind my answer choice; I just pick the one that sound rights and need to develop a real strategy.
did you do manhattan lr? I usually go -2/-3 in LR after I did that and drilled

What happened to the other thread? The "waiters" one.
Perfectly said. 168 here (first time taking). I'm not totally disappointed - I had been PT'ing in the 167-171 range, and I didn't come out of the June '14 test feeling too confident, but it's the fact that I KNOW I'm capable of getting above 170 that is bugging me. Problem is, I'm a relative splitter (~3.3-3.4 gpa). And no, I don't want a pity party, but it's just that 170 really starts to open doors in the mid-lower T14 w/my gpa...Learn_Live_Hope wrote:kentuckybred wrote:I understand you didn't reach your threshold, but I wish you wouldn't be so melodramatic and 'pity me' about it. There is nothing to be melodramatic about especially when you have given yourself to this test for over a year. No pity me party here. Its a bittersweet moment for me. There is a feeling of sadness when you know you could have done better, and did indeed underperform regardless of what the score is. If I was scoring 180's on my PT's and ended up with 175 instead of 178 I was hoping for, I would be experiencing same feelings I am now.
Its not just about the number, its about dedication-countless hours spent, and knowing you achieved the score you know you are capable of getting.

Exactly. I'm not content, and am coming back to get what I know I'm capable of.JuanitaFromTheDiner wrote:Perfectly said. 168 here (first time taking). This makes sense. Regardless of our individual scores, we're all trying to improve, and there is no reason we can't improve together.Learn_Live_Hope wrote: Exactly. I'm not content, and am coming back to get what I know I'm capable of.
Welcome to the thread, and lets help each other achieve our desired scores.
