Honestly I think the only real consensus when it comes to prep companies is to avoid Kaplan like the plague.

Dude, Manhattan's Logic Chain method is so bomb. Before that, my method was just chaining conditionals together. It'd work some of the time but often, it was just a pain for my eyes to look at so many conditional statements + the new chains (I'd never erase the ones that were given so it look like I had 6-8 different statements for a game).
I agree! It is so easy to draw and use the Logic Chain. I wasted so much time doing those questions before I learnt that method!

Re: Manhattan LSAT — Best?
The bible for logic games is a good start, but Manhattan takes the cake, especially for grouping games. With Manhattan's logic chain, I've been finishing grouping games in 4 to 5 minutes. That extra time saved is fundamental for me because I tend to struggle greatly on the damn hybrid games.Miracle wrote:Dr. Dre wrote:Miracle wrote:Says who? It's always been about powerscore. Yes. Manhattan is superior for self study. Although if you have the $$$, hiring a tutor with a proven score above 175 is worth it.

Oh yes having a personal tutor would be beyond amazing. But I would still read Manhattan LSAT before getting one. Assuming his methods are similar to Manhattans.Ben Franklin wrote:Yes. Re: Manhattan LSAT — Best?
All I'm going to say is that Powerscore doesn't touch on the LR assumption questions like Manhattan does. The difference between sufficient/necessary assumptions is highlighted in the latter and not the former. It seems stupid now, but it wasn't obvious to me and there were times when I really thought there were two correct answers when I had just misread the question stem.Ben Franklin wrote:Manhattan > Powerscore all day

My Manhattan bundle just arrived today. I'm going to try to combine Manhattan, Blueprint (their new games book), and Powerscore into a comprehensive study program.

i think learning the methods from the pros and synthesizing them in your own personal way is the best method overall

Omg, the Manhattan RC is amazing. A big thanks to all of those that recommended it to me. After doing the Powerscore RC, I had lost faith in any RC prep.

Re: Manhattan LSAT — Best?
Yeah, it's really short, but really good. I did two PTs after that and I feel really confident about my RC now. Keep in mind that I was -6 to -4 in RC before Manhattan. Now if I can master the games and continue drilling LR....Dr. Dre wrote:have you finished the RC book?
MVP for me?! That'd be a dream come true.
