I like my 174. I am a capitalist at heart. COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT.Ragged wrote:--ImageRemoved--KevinP wrote:It is OK comrade, only capitalists are satisfied with anything below a 175.Ragged wrote:I know people will hate me for this, but I was dissapointed as hell with a 174. With that score, you have a shot at H or S if your GPA is 3.5+.Ragged wrote:I know people will hate me for this, but I was dissapointed as hell with a 174. That basically ruined my chances at HYS. Sorry.

Re: What score do you consider disappointing?
Statistically speaking, there is little difference between 175 and 177, and I would think that this will especially hold true for the Oct. '10 LSAT. So it's really not that bad at all. Bragging rights, however, do not follow cold statistics.Adjudicator wrote:Tell me about it. It's still not really an impressive score, which would be 177+. I am upset at myself for not bubbling in 2 answers, 1 of which was the credited response. No offense to anyone with 175, but I think I would be losing my mind over the fact that one more question correct would have resulted in a 177.

I'm a retaker. My average is now only 171 as opposed to 172 or even 173 if I did better. And the fact is that I should have done atleat 3 points better but missed some easy problems, which still stings. But I'm coping.MysticalWheel wrote:With that score, you have a shot at H or S if your GPA is 3.5+.Ragged wrote:I know people will hate me for this, but I was dissapointed as hell with a 174. This poll would be much better if every thing was <1XX, instead of simply XX

I'd apply to at least Stanford. But retake or not, it's a great score that opens the door to great schools, even if your GPA is not stellar.Ragged wrote:I'm a retaker. Re: What score do you consider disappointing?
The 169 I got was pretty disappointing, although I wouldn't have been happy with anything less than a 173. Basically, from 172-168 is like LSAT purgatory.

Anything with a 6 in the tens place. I'll be happy with anything in a 7 in the tens place and totally shocked with anything that rounds to a 180.
Given my horrendous GPA and unremarkable work experience I won't get into any school whose 75% is greater than 175.

177 is above every schools 75% and a 175 is not.MysticalWheel wrote:Statistically speaking, there is little difference between 175 and 177, and I would think that this will especially hold true for the Oct. I got the impression that schools don't really care that much about 25th - 75th because their median is what effects their rank. Not sure though.sophia.olive wrote:177 is above every schools 75% and a 175 is not.MysticalWheel wrote:Statistically speaking, there is little difference between 175 and 177, and I would think that this will especially hold true for the Oct. I was shooting for no less than a 170, so 169 or below would be disappointing. I got a 167. Guess how long I cried

Re: What score do you consider disappointing?
For me, any score near the low end of my PT range is disappointing.
But yeah TLS is ridiculous.
I was complaining about my 162 on OCT. to my aunt (who is a lawyer, and a heavy hitter in a major corporation, not to brag but it adds to the effect) and she told me to stop being such a jerk...
EDIT: for clarification, my score was quite disappointing.

Re: What score do you consider disappointing?
That is completely false. At least, not anywhere near a decent chance. Look at LSN. Everyone with those numbers got rejected from H and S.kiniru wrote:Thats not what it seems like based on what people say... H has some seriously high floors!
