Re: DECEMBER 2010 DOMINATION
Wish I could join you guys, but I'm maxed out at 3 attempts. Here's hoping a 165 is enough to get me where I'm going.
I officially blame my insomnia on my poor performances to date. I can never sleep the night before the damn LSAT. It's excitement more than nervousness.

Tough hand, man. I thought for sure you were going to kill it. Apply ASAP and write some strong essays, I'm sure you'll get in. It'll work out.3|ink wrote:Wish I could join you guys, but I'm maxed out at 3 attempts. Here's hoping a 165 is enough to get me where I'm going.

Thanks. GL in December. Check out my spreadsheet upgrade if you're taking December. The new version is sweet. I just updated the thread today.aesis wrote:Tough hand, man. Good luck to you too on applications. Any chance you can make it OpenOffice compatible for those of us who use *nix based operating systems?3|ink wrote: Thanks. GL in December. Check out my spreadsheet upgrade if you're taking December. The new version is sweet. I just updated the thread today.

I use Debian Linux to be exact and I only have OpenOffice (An alternative to Microsoft's Office suite)... getting Microsoft products to work with a non-Windows operating system can be a pain in the ass.3|ink wrote:Nix? Edit: Nevermind, seems the latest version seems to work fine for me(3.3)...

Yea, it practically has PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. and is fully free and open source but it seems your version 3.3 seems to work fine now for me. Thanks for the awesome spreadsheet btw.3|ink wrote: Open Office has a version of excel?

Re: DECEMBER 2010 DOMINATION
Can you just put that note abt December/ask them to hold the file in an addendum?lparker wrote:That's what I'm doing--applying now with the note that I'm retaking in December. Did you look at the chart for acceptances? My top choice wasn't listed, but a similar school had a fair number of admits in January. I'm worried that all the scholarships will have been given out already, but I'm unfortunately in the dreaded "consider" region according to LSP. It's a sad place to be...akili wrote:I think I might be joining yall. I have 2 (!!) 160s from last December and this October and I'm very bummed. Would it be ok to submit apps now and retake in December? I'm worried about having a late cycle, but I honestly feel like I can do so much better and I'm so upset about getting the same score.
Plus, I think better LSAT> applying earlier, right?

Re: DECEMBER 2010 DOMINATION
well im going to be leaving this thread. Called my top 2 schools to help make the decision about the retake, and they said that my score would get me in, and if my apps went complete I would have better chance at aid/ scholarship. Since this was my second attempt, i'm going to see how the cycle works out, and leave the june test open in case it all goes to naught ( december is too close to start prep again, and i would rather spend march- june prepping for june than just 6 weeks.)
Good luck to you all! Hopefully I wont be starting the Official June 2011 Test prep thread

Hi! I'm joining you all.
Not sure if I'm really going to study much again. I will most likely just retake a test every other day for the month of november and go through one of my extra LG books left.

Anyone think we'll potentially see another -14 or so this December based on the latest curve trends?

We can dream, can't we? A -14 would be WONDERFUL. Hell, I'll take a -11.AverageTutoring wrote:Based on nothing but pure "feeling" I would say -10. Re: DECEMBER 2010 DOMINATION
Well... they can and it isn't that unlikely. The test has been evolving and it has become harder and so a more generous curve is set to accommodate that. Furthermore, December, when compared to other disclosed tests, has had the most generous curve or equal to the most generous curve for a given year for the last 5 years. It is possible that it could be a -10 but I would expect it to be at least a -12. Also, if my calculations are correct, December has had a curve less generous than a -11 only once since 1992. Coupled with the fact that the economy drives more people to take the LSAT, I'm almost convinced a -12 is a given.AverageTutoring wrote:Based on nothing but pure "feeling" I would say -10. Re: DECEMBER 2010 DOMINATION
Just went through the horror of looking over my LR's and quickly looking at LG. Boned all but 2 LR questions by picking the trap answer and for some reason didnt answer LR2 #26 which was an easy formal logic question. Bombed LG with 5 wrong through the first 3 games and 4 on the last, meaning I missed a rule pretty much on each game.....
cya in December.

Re: DECEMBER 2010 DOMINATION
Good luck in December. I've noticed they are really trying to counter prep companies' mechanical way of doing things. E.g. a tricky "day before" rule on one of the games and reversing the order "oldest to youngest" on another etc. I'm definitely going to be on the look out for that in December.Sandro777 wrote:Just went through the horror of looking over my LR's and quickly looking at LG. Yea. I'm definitely going to study the last few LG's a lot the next month or so. Also maybe work on modifying my standard PS Bible approach as I felt it let me down personally in October....KevinP wrote:Good luck in December.
